  1. Mihael Keehl says:

    very good ending !

  2. cindydoo says:

As some noted earlier, they seem to be adding more makeup and hair styling to JA slowly little by little episode by episode…

  3. Chatelaineces says:

They pulled off a kidnapping of a willing victim. Now all we need is Vice Chairman Choi jump into the rebellion group. Ms No and GrandPa No have just lost their tribe. The kids have learned to harness the power of the many. It is a familial coup dโ€™etat! It is no longer fun to run a corporate empire when the heirs donโ€™t care to inherit it.

    • cindydoo says:

Yes, but the rebellion must stay strong because the forces of evil grandpa are many. One small victory but still much suffering still to bear. If only we could off him like so easily and boringly and anticlimactically in star wars. Evil is only an illusion – it is not great or powerful except the power we give it through fear. Overcome the fear and evil becomes nothing. Fight on!!!

      • Gg says:

Well put…..and that is the truth…..Fear perpetuates tyrants like him. Hyukโ€™s boss is one he knew he could not push. he knows when he is out classed. The nerve f throwing his money and insulting the moral values of JA……while he has mistress……

JA will eventually expose him together with DK. DK is beginning to see the wrong ethical values his elders have……they are not so great afterall

      • Chatelaineces says:

I take comfort in the efforts of Yong Guk, the partner of Hyuk in the furniture business. He has permission from his own Grandfather to go into social enterprises to finance the start up companies. I feel that even in the real world of Korea, the chaebol families have adjusted to the times and have allowed their kids to experiment. He also mentioned about the trend of rich children marrying ordinary people. This drama speaks volumes of ongoing social changes as we watch. Nice to know.

    • cindydoo says:

Enjoy the small victory :D! Cherish it for today – don’t watch the preview and just wait until tomorrow….

      • Chatelaineces says:

There is such a thing called momentum. Winning a war is made up of small victories that gain followers and resources. This is why propaganda is important because the mindset of winning or losing depends on the prevailing mood. Three siblings-Do Kyung, Ji Soo and SeoHyun- have suffered under the oppressive rule of their grandfather. Do Kyung, beyond his quest for Ji An, has discovered the excitement of setting up an enterprise all his own. He actually has investors believing in him. Ji Soo is simple minded and loves her old life and loves Hyuk. She wants to go back to her adoptive home. Seohyun has enjoyed true friendship with Ji Ho and will go to lengths to help her friend. If and when Vice Chairman Choi joins the fray, itโ€™s checkmate. The war is won. How can a chaebol hold his head up if his own family has left his side? Grandpa No understands his warfare. He will negotiate to keep territory. This will be fun!

        • cindydoo says:

Well, i keep forgetting only 9 episodes left, momentum wins – must start resolving all threads…
There’s still the twist of the other sister – no children – but devoted. Grandpa can make them the head.
Then, like another leader we know of in the real world, grandpa can take credit for his “independant” other family and how they are such successes all of course because of his own greatness.

          • Karen Hall says:

            hahaaaa

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

LOL Love that analogy about the real world leader…Cindydoo! Damn it’s so on point. I HOPE that is not the case but I BET you’re right!!

Both of the referenced dopenhahs (jerks, bast@rds) are living in the same ‘world’ of elitism I’m so glad to see that the grandpa was finally met by serious resistance that intimidated him… hahah further explains/rationalizes what we see on the news in the real world too!

          • Chatelaineces says:

That sister has a son. She is actually positioning her child to move up the Haesung ladder. Of course, Grand Pa No is aware that Do Kyung has the smarts to take over the business empire. Do Kyung is the son he never had.

        • Gg says:

It is a win win situation at this time.

        • Naru22 says:

Exactly!!! I’m so in love with this drama and I’m eagerly waiting for this war to start!!!

          • Chatelaineces says:

War is beginning to go the way of the young adults. GrandPa No actually offered to buy the house for Ji An. Of course, it was demeaning and rude but he gets it that Do Kyung is enamoured with Ji An. Vice Chairman Choi has put his foot down in sending Ji Soo to France. So Ms. Noโ€™s plans has also been foiled. The preview shows GrandPa No going to the house of Ji An. Remember the chaebol has stooped down to visit the poor family. That only means that he personally wants to make sure that his plans are implemented exactly. The old man is very concerned. His daughter, Ms. No understands that her own husband is keeping very quiet and that he is squarely on the side of the kids. She needs to walk on eggshells, too. Interesting, right?

          • Naru22 says:

Yup!!! It’s getting very interesting now!!! Hope now JS dad will also step up now!!!

  4. Ronald Harrington says:

JiAn….The more crap I have to eat from your family, the nicer I will treat you, and the cuter you get, because I’m lowly and I know it……GIRL POWER YEAH!!!!!!!! (raised fist!)

  5. cindydoo says:

Grandpa is going to die as a greedy, wrinkled, isolated, lonely small person.

  6. My Kang Daniel๐Ÿ˜˜โค๏ธ says:

Pls sub. It should be subbed by now๐Ÿ˜ฉ

  7. Super chicken says:

    Best hostage rescue ever.

  8. Sena says:

So it’s the chaebol friend who came to JA’s rescue after all. DK couldn’t do anything to protect her when grandpa humiliated JA and treathened that he’d find new ways to intimidate her sicne the wood workshop etc belong to the chaebol YG.

  9. My Kang Daniel๐Ÿ˜˜โค๏ธ says:

I recommended this drama to my family and they reached ep 40 in a week.
This drama is like the best. Iโ€™m always exited to watch the next episode

  10. Sena says:

I always wonder how much work those maids can do if they have to wait on everyone at the door + at meals lol
    So ridicoulous and hilarious ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Especially, in that tiny house …I mean tiny for what the standards they’re trying to show.
Otherwise it’s an average home, with a small living/dining space and ugly cheap looking sofas hahahah ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ The Chois home is like a theatre scene ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Softens the dramatic air of the drama.
So as expected, JS didn’t help with money and neither did she help at home. She never cooked at home; JA did.
No wonder JA was burnt out, she had to work outside and inside too…
So unfair. Favoritism of Mrs Seo again ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜
She still doesn’t care much about JA lol Very sad.

    • Gg says:

Nothing grandiose huh……well he got aced by Hyukโ€™s and JAโ€™s boss. he had to retreat. DK is only the third generation……Now there are some who has been in it for centuries.

  11. Sena says:

To the last minute JS didn’t apologize to her sister.
She’s kind but tough; not as easy going as she seems.
Or the writer is not being consistent with her character.
Hard to get on with unless you’re on the giving side that is ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    • i1992 says:

jisoo tried to apologized in the first conversation they had after the whole thing happened, ji an didnt let her finish and told jisoo to cut all ties with her. people are so quick to hate jisoo but no one ever pointed out that jian was so easily swayed by the money and the lifestyle that didnt give much though in letting her old family go and move in to the rich house or to the fact that jian let her shame get in the way of her relationship with her family. rather than facing the consequences of what she did, she avoided her father and cutted all ties with her sister, because she didnt want to be reminded that she made the wrong decision by going to that house in the first place. ji an has done her fair share of mistakes not only jisoo…

    • Gg says:

She did when she talked to DK….and was crying her heart out how she regretted what she did๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Claudia Keller says:

Why would she??? They were both at fault….and she called DK and talked to him as she was talking to JA.

  12. Karen Hall says:

DK don’t know what happened but JA called hahaah my favorite line from this episode

  13. Safeenah Safiyan says:

    Love operation save ji soo…..

  14. Ronald Harrington says:

Is JiAn job playing Sims2? Nice work if you can get it…

  15. Ronald Harrington says:

Oh my god, “I’ll come back and help you so just wait” “”she must have heard wrong, mom wouldn’t say anything like that” why do you people like him, he’s a class A moronic jerk….

    • cindydoo says:

At some point you wish DK really gets it and that his Mom is a clone of Grandpa. Episode 43 and viewers are still moaning your stubborn stupidity. Come on DK – stop being noblesse – get mad and cuss out your mom!!!

    • cindydoo says:

Well finally DK’s actually there to experience how his Mom and Grandpa treat people. He missed the times before. Hopefully, tomorrow we’ll get a little more of the car trap scene so DK can see his Mom in action.

  16. 5Zero4 says:

Did the 3 of them think they’re the Fast and the Furious with the car chase? lol On second thought, the Slow and the Serious might be more accurate….only reason they caught up was because the chauffeur drives slow.

  17. cindydoo says:

I think JT is making a mistake choosing the child over his wife. He’s got her all boxed in and forcing his will on her.

  18. camichi says:

I am happy with today episode….The evil Mon was leaved on the road. hahahaha Yes Hyuk well done. The kids of that family must get free of that oppressive rules. Be free kids, find your own path.

  19. camichi says:

    where the subs????

  20. Gg says:

Every time I remember the old fart talking to JA in the Share House about buying the house so DK and she could live together with him and that she may have been disappointed because DK was without money when he left the house……it really makes my blood boil. There are women and there are women but not all will be impressed to enter a family such as his. He really acted like he was a gift to mankind.

For someone so picky about who their heirs marry he has no manners and was so out of decorum when he threw the money on the table. YG sure put him in his proper place by introducing himself as a CEO. He retreats and realizes that he did the wrong strategy. he was way out of line.

The person he threw the money at was in a higher league than him. If thoughts could kill I would have killed him a million times.

    • Naru22 says:

Exactly!!! I really wanted to kick his face!!! And wow… YG !! He was damn awesome and I loved how he protected JA and DK from that old fart!! He’s properly replied him back. JA would have been also, but she withheld as it would have hurt DK more….
I wish someone would properly teach DK:s mom and grandpa that their family is not so great and not everyone would try to be there with them!!
It would be really damn awesome if all the kids runaway together and have some fun time. I would really love to see that scene

  21. hey! says:

I thought the whole last scene with the speed chasing to the airport was so unnecessary. While the mother did want her to study abroad she wasn’t really being forced to go. She’s never listen to anything the mother said to do prior. It wasn’t until the boyfriend said he can’t be with her that she decided to go. That whole scene could have caused an accident. When will they make her character grow up. Even in the car when she was talking to the brother she made it seem like she was being taking against her will. I guess like the boyfriend noted, that’s just her personality, to cover wood thats treated from getting wet.

    • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

I suppose you missed the part in the previous epi where the mom threatened to make all the people JS cared about lose their businesses? She’s still gullible and has no idea how to function and think through solutions on her own. She’s always had others to think and provide for her.

Also, she feels there’s no option for her and Hyuk so she’s just given up as the easiest solution to the issues at hand.

She’s finally starting to see life as it is without the rose colored glasses and this acquiescence to study abroad, in addition to a few of her comments about needing to adjust to being a Haesung family member, was in part her way of accepting life and growing up. Albeit, with the wrong mindset.

Not defending her character, as I can’t stand her character either, but explaining the need for the chase and the ‘forced’ trip abroad.

  22. JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

I keep waiting for DK’s character to finally grow a full pair, i.e. but he’s more his father’s son than his Granddad’s in temperament. He’s still intimidated and this epi was disappointing in how he didn’t give a better showing of putting up a defense to protect JA’s dignity and his own! He’s got the business chops from both sides of the family but doesn’t seem to have the ruthless streak from the maternal side of the family.

Wonder if the script will call for him to become hardcore ruthless and set Grandpa and mom back on their heels and rip them a new one or if he’ll continue to take the high road and will be a total if somewhat clueless gentleman. That social E.Q. is kinda lacking still… The writers are being super slow with him playing catch up.

Can’t wait for his blinders to be removed and all hell to break loose!

    • Sena says:

In kdramaland, that’s supposed to be ‘filial’ and ‘respectful of the elders’ never mind the ‘elder’ here is an immoral, unscrupulous and nasty thug; he’s still his grandpa :(

      • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Well, finally he made a full evolution into the man he needed to be! If he’d done so earlier it might not have been believable…since his character was so naive’ and inexperienced when it came to love. He learned his lessons the hard way! Glad he checked his Grandpa, Mom and restored his Uncle…his behavior indirectly led to the entire Noh clan changing. I’ll rewatch the series sometime because it was worth the watch.

  23. amanda says:

kids……………what are you gonna do? you try to give them a future and they chase you down a highway hahahahahahahaha …………..sweet!!
