In all kdramas, sons born out of wedlock do not resent their mothers who put them in their wretched situation in that society; on the contrary they support them. Is this really the case or a fantasy? Because the responsibility for the half-brother’s misery rests on both his parents and especially his mother since she knew his fate and still had him. The father is a psycho anyways.
But in the end, when all you have left is your mother are you really going to resent her too? Then you would have nobody. Besides as long as the mother stays by his/her side and loves them with everything she has, how can that be a bad thing? I’d prefer that than those that have both parents and receive no love… :/
In kdramaland, however ‘these sons’ are looked down by the father & ‘his family’ and often humiliated and they have to take it all for the sake of the mother who put them in that miserable position in the first place and who in that society is considered not so moral [being mistress] & practically these women [the mothers] are disrupting the family’s order…And that’s precisely why their sons have to bear the stigma [their mother’s sins and fathers]. So I was wondering how much it represented reality…that’s all.
Sadly, I’m sure it’s prevalent. But as a mother who ended up as a single, not by choice, hard to always feel some type of guilt for not having a man around to raise your children. Sorry if I came on too strong. Guess we can only do our best in whatever circumstances that we’re given, huh?

OH NO I HAVE THE FEELING THAT THIS DRAMA IS NOT GOING TO HAVE AN HAPPY ENDING
But in that drama the gumiho died at the end and then she came back after a year thanks to some sort of magic! In this drama there is no magic! I feel like she’s just like those weird people that say they see colors around other people and something like that lol
I think it is a little more than seeing colors around people, it is more like a magical swiss watch, but I get your point lol!

Oh yeah definitely- she asked for a date night in the preview. In k-drama a proper date is pretty much the universal warning sign for Noble Idiot Break-Up Scene.
Wait did I miss something? Is his time left on earth decreasing? I rewatched and only noticed her time as counting as days but I thought his consistently stayed at 60 years.
I rewatched like 5 times and finally saw what you originally noticed. I’m sometimes so un observant on the detailes.
I noticed her dramatic expression change so I knew I missed something.
It made my heart drop!
Wow very sad and emotional episode! I too think this will have a sad ending or those that you give it your own conclusion!!! Great acting! It looks like the Director might like her? Love the way he told the witch just go!
IDK…does she sing IRL? I don’t think she does, cause I read in article that she preferred to decline a professional stand in to do her singing because she hadn’t ever sung before and that she’s practicing many hours to do the job….She has a kind of pretty voice but it’s not truly up to par with being a professional singer…at least at this time…Idk if they’re using the ‘miracle’ machine to make her voice stronger/better/more pleasing, like they do many artists who can’t really sing but have a good stage presence…if they aren’t, then maybe the need to until she can get her voice conditioned to ‘be there’.
Hmmm…if those aren’t professional recording studio and subsequent contracts specifically for the purpose of being a ‘singer’ then, she’s not a professional singer….but I don’t really care if she is or doesn’t…our point is although her voice by some, could be considered ‘pretty’ it’s not so much ‘impressive’

My next door neighbor must be having a cookout, my eyes are watering for some reason I can’t fathom or explain…..then the clock rigamorole ruined a perfectly good ending to an episode…….blimey…

The only time I felt she had a quality voice was when she played the piano and sang beautifully. But as you stated you never know how much is real…
She does sing in real life. She sang in Trolls (kor. dub) and has collaborated with eddy kim and featured in a Psy song.
