Omg….. So many secrets unfolded this ep, yet so many new secrets discovered… Spoilers ahead.
So the detective is grown up Woojin (Yeo Jingoo). Evidence 1: in ep 1 the senior detective (webtoon artist) asked for detective kim to look for his brother in smart city. Then, i wondered if the twins had another unknown brother. But now i understand. Woojin had to look for Beom Gyun.
Evidence 2: both detective kim and woojin had a habit of fiddling with the rubiks cube.
Evidence 3: detective kim had his memory erased and took on the new identity. But memories of him being woojin in the past appeared.
So….. Basically, my analysis is that Woojin was used as an experimental product. The care chip was first inserted into him before it was implemented to others. That is why his memories were erased.
The care chip does not prevent crime, but the fact that it clears all bad memories (or all in fact) from the past, allows the ppl to start anew and with the aid of care chip which prevents anxiety, it helped prevent crimes.
Final analysis. The chairman of the Human B system. My guess is that he is either Beom Gyun or the professor at Woojin’s university. Beom Gyun being the fact that he has their photo and the old phone owned by Beom Gyun. The professor as it is highly likely that Woojin statement that PTSD can only be treated by forgetting, triggered the whole idea of the care chip.
P.s.: i may be wrong. Just some thoughts

I think han jeongyeon is either the same alien as 10 years ago which already took human characters it has studied, or the alien took the human han jeongyeon’s form so that the twins got confused by it.
Yeah. I am more suspicious that it was the same alien. I have watched many sci-fi alien movies, most of them can regenerate quickly maybe that’s the reason han jeongyeon didn’t have scar on her neck. Haha… I really enjoy this drama. I love their Part 1 and Part 2 concept too!
The transition between two worlds is really amazing. But i felt so frustrated when they switch to 2037 just when woojin grabbed jeongyeon for an answer. That suspense!!!
I think its the same alien. Her reaction didnt seem innocent to me when he was acting strange with her. If she was a normal teenager, dont you think she would have been scared of him or at least telling him to stop being a weirdo? I mean the guy was staring at her all the time. And he asked her who she was several times. She didnt have a normal reaction.
Erasing the memory from the past was Woojin’s idea. That was what he was saying to that professor. I think they used him as a prototype. My theory is that the alien wasn’t as bad as they think. She was trying to protect the twins. Maybe the twins’ father used her as the “artificial intelligence”.
Yes, i feel like the alien has always treasured the twins esp Woojin. I really like the part where alien protected woojin from the car crash by hovering over him.
Good analysis. But the chairman could also be the other professor that was listening to Woo Jin and professor Park. That professor didnt like Woo Jin and he seemed shady so it would make more sense that he used Woo Jin as an experiment.
I dont think the chairman is Beom Gyun. That wouldnt make sense he there were other circumstances

What if detective Kim is actually Beom Gyun? He was already a mini detective in the past. He investgated the alien and tracked her done step by step. He had detective skills. It would make more sense that detective Kim is Beom Gyun than Woo Jin. Cuz Woo Jin studied science and he was top student + he liked reseach, its more likely that he chose to work in a science field. Which may lead us to think that he was direct or indirect involved with the creation of smart city. It is possible that he is Chairman but it doesnt make sense to me because he loved his brother. I guess we will have to wait and see who turns out to be

New episode, a bunch of new questions. For some reason, this drama makes me angry and confused because I want to know what the heck is going on. It is so good but so annoying at the same time! Just give me all the episodes at once!!
I saw a comment elsewhere saying that beom gyun is detective kim too. But im 98% sure that he isnt? The fiddling of rubiks cube is woojin’s habit but that doesnt prove that detective kim is really 100% woojin. They are twins so it is possible that beom gyun has that habit too. But do u rmb, that at the start of ep 2, young Woojin said that he wanted to keep that polaroid photo of the twins and the alien to show his friends? Tracing back to ep 1, when detective kim first arrived in smart city (or before he entered i cant rmb exactly), he took out that same polaroid photo. That photo was in woojin’s possession, its highly unlikely that he passed it to beom gyun. Thats why i still think that he is woojin not beom gyun. :)
Yeah there are many things that is pointing at him being Woo Jin. However, I’d like it if he was not Woo Jin because young Woo Jin was genius he had so much potentials I dont want him to be just a detective

Btw, in room that Beom Gyun had all his evidence and WooJin was watching the camera and that alien chick jerked her head to stare into the camera omfg!! Woo Jin (Yeo Jin Goo) eyes were on fire! 75% of his expressions are revealed in his eyes, and they are oooohhhhh so beautiful! Hope he stays on the series all the way through! <3 ;)
