I just watched this raw so I don’t know what was being said, but i’m starting to really feel sorry for Lee Kang (the current king). His grew up isolated from his parents, his uncle groomed him to be an ass, his wife is only concerned with her own personal gain and the woman he loves hates him. I’ve watched this from the beginning and I don’t remember an explanation as to why he was taken away from his parents and the palace as a baby. Anyone know the answer?
I only watched the 2 first episodes then gave up. I only check comments now. Not sure if they gave the details. it seems it’s because the first born prince [later he became he king] was always sickly. So maybe they wanted to protect the second prince since he’s next in line or they wanted to protect the first son from the second one. Most likely the second option. The 3rd son was allowed to remain in the palace and that made me suspect that maybe the queen was scared of her second son as he had evil tendencies since very young. We can see how he caused the death of the little maid because he was jealous of his younger brother. He didn’t try to help her when she was drowning he just watched her …The guy has been cruel since childhood lol And no amount of imagining himself to be a victim can justify his cruelty.
Right! When I first watched this I felt sorry for him, I disliked the queen dowagerfor isolating him from his parents and all, but he watched the maid died without doing anything just because she liked his younger brother. For someone to like you, it takes work, affection, passion and all. I am sure she would not have liked him with his personality, he seemed to be evil and power hungry since he was young. So I can’t feel sympathy toward him.
At this point it’s hard to know if he was born evil or if he became evil because of his uncle. I know that astrology and facial features can determine the kind of person you will grow up to be. Maybe this is why Lee Kang was forced to live outside of the palace and Lee Hwi remained with his parents. Right now I’m kinda bored with Lee Hwi and Lee Kang is really hot.
I am sorry that the lady hates him, if I was her I’d hate him too. He’s really too much. You know sometimes someone likes you but you don’t reprocicate their love but deep down you’re grateful but she can’t not feel anything at all for him since he had tried to kill her love more than twice. It’s not like she hates him without a reason. His wife is just something else, aren’t they the same? He should know how nasty she can be
i guess it’s because in most asian country or most asian, believe astrology, fortune, etc something like that. the 1st son was born weak and easily get sick, and lee kang’s aura or astrology made it worse for the 1st son and that’s why the queen sent him to live outside the palace. The uncle manipulated him for his own gains. The wife is something else, drugging your own sister to be with Lee Kang tells a lot about the people one meet by the aura they themselves generate. No sympathy for either of the two. The are reaping what they had sowed. Why he was taken out of the palace- pretty sure it may have been because of some oracle of some sort- that he would usurp the throne etc.
