There are loads of other things that he can have. His bruising is cause he gets beat up all the time, it’s not like his opponents are hitting him lightly either. The differential diagnosis for nosebleeds + bruising is very long. Besides isn’t 1 person with cancer enough for the show? In kdramaland nosebleeds means either stress or cancer tho lol. I prefer to think it’s stress

leukemias are no more a life threat with the advancement of new treatment techniques buddy…only depends on the stage we discover and the type :) so don’t worry…even if he has leukemia just wish the writers would be generous enough to show him cured :)

I think so too. He’s dead. I don’t think he can survive without the meds because the leg pain is too intense. And the meds will damage his liver (foreshadowed by the old lady many times)

I like how the people in this drama struggle and fight for life and their principles. No spline less here, just those who wake each day and try their hardest to live.

this melodrama is surely insane…. i never watch youth melodrama after so many years, this is why korean melodrama is acknowledged internationally, and i think it is indeed dangerous for our feeling

First they make you cry than they make you smile.. that’s what makes this drama so special. It’s got this raw measured pain and an impressive sense of hope all knitted together…Its remarkably well written and produced..
It’s only January :). Dramaland needs to cut the writers some slack – give them time to exercise their creative minds. So many coming out like cookie factory – but only a few gems. Everyone wanting a piece of the action rather than pushing for good story lines.
He needs some serious psychological help. He is self destructive, alienates himself from others, and imaginary pains in his leg. He needs help. I hope she can help him to remember but move on from the past. He said he does not have time to talk about the past but he is still living in the past.
Everyone in this drama needs help. Maybe he’s more outwardly self-destructive (getting beat up physically)but I don’t think anyone else is really that much better off. They all have their demons and their poor way of dealing with it… That’s what makes this drama so awesome.
Dang I didn’t get enough sleep now I’m falling asleep on one of my fave dramas. Can’t do it, I gotta give it the respect it deserves and watch it in morning. T-T

i think the grandma will die or will lose her memories and health because glioblastoma is really dangerous tumor my dad was diagnotic with it 2 year ago then he start to lose memories and can’t move or speak then he died last september god blesse him i hope she will survive
I even cried watching the preview of the next episode. I freaking HEART this Melo. Its been so long since a Melo masterpiece been aired. The story is simple, straightforward, realistic yet dramatic. I can’t say enough. Both the leads are amazing. definitely my bias couple. all the characters are pieces of puzzle that fit so well with each other. WHO SAID AN IDOL CANT ACT?!!!!!
I thank the commenters of this drama for leading me to it. By myself I would not have given it a second look because it is melo as melodramas go. Life is depressing enough without having to put in two hours of my week to sorrow and pain. But the snippets I have seen are very meaningful and well written. The relatively unknown cast make one concentrate on the whole production without the distraction of the mystique of a star or an idol. A drama about the poor is necessarily sad. “Dying by poverty” is a well coined phrase and is true. Dying very old is a rich man’s malady because medical solutions abound for those who can afford the treatment. The magic moments for those who struggle financially are about their loves: their family, lovers and friends. Just between Lovers is a title is on point. Personally, I think the ending will be about redemption. Whether Gang Doo and Moon Soo will be a real couple for life is not as important as if they find liberation from the shackles of guilt, grief and gloom. The happy ending is in the opportunity to live free.
Ah yes I am here and I can’t wait for this episode to shred my heart, rip my soul and turn me into a blubbering pile of tears. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
