    Here it come………

Wow… Every character is there for a reason. Even Sangman. He’s too precious (TT)

This is the most nerve-wracking last episode ever. PERFECTION.
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  2. Rads ical says:

My metaphor is kinda crap but this was a review that I wrote immediately after the show so it came from my heart.
Just Between Lovers is like a croissant. From the outside it looks tasty, but nothing special. But when you open it up you see rich, buttery, layers. JBL was like that for me. I didn’t know any of the actors, I just ended up watching it out of boredom. I usually avoid melodramas like the plague because life is sad enough without adding fictional drama to it. But for some reason this drama captured my heart. The characters feel like my friends, they’re like real people to me. I love them all from Kang Doo and Moon Soo to Sang Man, her parents and yes even the ceo (even though I love to hate him he’s all right). I loved the “villain,” I loved the Madam Ma-ri, I loved the mother who often neglected her eldest due to her grief. Why do I love these characters whom I should hate? Because they aren’t just evil. The mom has problems yes, but she still loves Moon Soo. The CEO is annoying but he has his own issues. There was not a single 1 dimensional character, every character had their own struggles and layers that contribute to the deliciousness of the whole croissant. The characters were surprising, I thought her friend was pitiful because of her wheelchair, but then you find out why she’s in it and that changes your image. You think her friends ex is a jerk but then u find out why he’s not there and suddenly it changes things. You think the director is evil, but then you find out what he had to sacrifice to get to where he is. There were so many surprises like this that gave the show a deeper flavor. I was pleasantly surprised my expectations were always shattered. The show was not cliche at all. I though the second female lead was going to be a jealous, clingy ex but she was so much more. Her friendship with KD was another pleasant surprise. The relationships portrayed in this show were heart warming. Especially the main relationship. Kang Doo and Moon Soo’s romance was gentle and warm. They fell in love naturally, their chemistry was loving. It wasn’t a burning fiery passion, it was a gentle slow burning candle which will last long. They didn’t romance through grand gestures, I felt their love in simple everyday things like when they walked down the street holding hands. I often joked during the show that I’d watch the two of them scrubbing a toilet together, but I really would because I can feel their love in the every day events. The show didn’t tell me there was trust, Love, understanding, and healing between the lovers…it showed me, I felt it! The unlikely friendships were beautiful, the grandmother, the Madam, a random Hindi speaking guy. The Indian guy was random, but even he gave a beautiful story that showed an unlikely friendship with Grannie. I could wax poetry about the shows relationships for hours, but I’ll move on for now. The dialogue was so beautiful, I’m not one to write down movie quotes but there are so many quotes from this show that I had to write down on paper because they touched me deeply. The cinematography was breath taking. The show was filmed in Busan and they really did a good job with finding beautiful backdrops. The lighting was also wonderful, the ever present kdrama piggy back was made 1000 times more beautiful by warm lighting. The logic in the show astounded me, because the characters were so real I could understand every decision they made. Even their reactions when they were noble idiots was logical because it fit with their personality and experiences. Not to mention this is the first time a poor person had crappy clothes and a crap phone, the little bits of logic like that made the world so much more real. The OST was amazing too, I have to go download several of the songs now. The acting was way beyond my expectations, an idol and rookie actress are the stars so I didn’t expect much but wow they were both phenomenal. The acting was very natural and I will definitely check out their next roles because I’m so impressed! If you can’t decide whether you should watch Just Between Lovers, don’t hesitate and take the leap. The show is worth it. Despite the melancholic tone, it’s warm, loving and getting to know these characters will make your life more beautiful. Watching this show really was like eating a warm croissant during a cold morning, I’m sad it’s ending. I’ll really miss seeing Kang Doo, Moon Soo, Sang Man, Ma-ri, Grannie and the rest of the crew every week.

agree 100% you describe this lovely drama so well and really capture why i think alot of us fell in love with it.

    • digdee says:

Ok that’s it – I’m now officially a fan of your reviews! Tell me, what other dramas are you watching right now? Would love to make a visit & check 😊

      • Rads ical says:

Haha you’re making me blush lol. I don’t post such long reviews for other shows like I do this one, but I’m watching Hwayugi right now! I’m an FTIsland fan so I’m watching mostly for Hongki hehe, but it’s a fun show. I also just tried the first episode of radio romance cause I’m sad JBL is over. It was cute, but if it gets too cliche I’ll drop it. I’ll have to see what else catches my eye once a new batch of dramas start airing

  3. pr39 says:

Perfect ending to a great drama. All the characters had so many layers to them, it felt very real and relatable. The so called antagonists weren’t bad, just for the sake of being bad for the drama, but we got to understand them and see why they are the way they are. Very well written and directed drama. Probably the best I have watched in a very long time.

  4. chikoku says:

    HAPPY ENDING !!!!!

Now i will catch up the rest episodes from 13th…

    • Favesue says:

So I was not the only one…

    • yaegg 1!!1 says:

      This is me.

      • Jpanlver says:

I stopped watching around episode 4 (didn’t catch it when it first aired) and then saw everyone saying the ending looked like it will be tragic and I’m like nope. Scarlet Heart Ryeo already burned me on that one. I’m not strong enough to go through it again…But phew…now I can watch this is peace :)

        • chikoku says:

Yes Scarlet Heart Ryo burned me too.. I took the lesson from it. Since that, any melodrama, i will stop at the happiest moment and wait until the last episode

Yes… we now in peace, chingu

        • Just Between Lovers ❤️ says:

Scarlet Heart ending was…….. thank god Lee Junki’s visual helped calm me down from my sorrow lmao

        • Umla80 says:

totally agree i cant handle sad endings after being traumatized by Scarlet Heart Ryeo, it was one of the first kdramas i watched >.< Since then sad ending series is a nope for me.

        • Alina Mihaela Daus says:

    • digdee says:

Wow, glad to see there are quite a few just like me. Same here, was burnt because of Scarlet Ryeo and never recovered until now. I check out comments section more religiously nowadays just to be safe. Spoiler don’t care haha. This weak heart of mine just can’t handle anymore torture.

      • Isabell-Mari says:

GDI Scarlet Ryeo… =( i was a mess. and also learned my lesson XD im glad im not the only one skipping to the comments before the episode XD looks like its safe to watch ! yey

      • reppinGAalways says:

i avoid Scarlet Ryeo with everything in me, i was traumatized after watching it. i refresh my page if i see it in the suggested on the right side because i don’t want to see the picture.

    • JustMe says:

THANK YOU!!!! I couldn’t deal with the heartbreak so I had planned to quit at episode 14 and invent my own ending. Now that Im prepared for a good ending, i must prepare to say goodbye to such lovely characters. On another note, does anyone know the OST that plays when they first hold hands (like he runs with her to the bus stop?) it never came out?!

    • Masa Jesri says:

Thank you very much for ruining it for me …Goddamn it i saw this by mistake UGH

    • Masa Jesri says:

    • shaco sleepwalker says:

  5. Rads ical says:

I will really miss watching this gem of a show every week. I thought I would be super upset and hollow once the show ended but I’m actually feeling at peace. I’m content. Will I miss the show? Most definitely. But the story naturally came to a close, there’s not much left to explore. The writers gave us rich characters who were brought to life by wonderful actors. I’ll keep this show in my heart. It definitely became one of my favorite dramas of all time (it would be first but I’m extremely loyal to Ji Sung in Kill and Heal Me so it has to get number 2 by default lol). If the CEO wasn’t so boring it would be 100% perfect lol

  6. Just Between Lovers ❤️ says:

hands down. standing ovation for such a great drama. I’m really gonna anticipate Director Kim Jin Won and Writer Yoo Bo Ra nim future project for sure…. ahhh i’m gonna miss this series so much.

Lee Junho really proves himself he’s done a great job potraying many side of Kangdoo and swoon us away in every minute. You’re surely my oppa now lmao.

Won Jin Ah, hello hello hello sissy. This such a successful debut breakthrough in the industry. She bring Moonsoo to life. From awkward Moonsoo to strong, confident and persistent Moonsoo. We love every bits of you. Such a gem!!!

Other actors/actress also successfully bring Yoo Bo Ra’s characters to life and OMG i just love this drama so muchh I don’t know when will I ever change my username and DP :(((

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!

    • Zehba says:

      Don’t change your username ❤️

    • Chatelaineces says:

Two newbies successfully pulling off great portrayals in a drama that is about a sad tale of the aftermath of a building disaster was quite a gamble for the producers. But it paid off big time. This is my first time to notice Lee Junho and watch Won Jin Ah. They banked on two very talented rookies whose naturalness in performances and their couple chemistry made this drama a wonderful watch. I think we must also credit the Director for bringing out the best from his cast, particularly these two. I guess it helped that these two are new because they were believable as two pitiful young lovers who experienced their first kisses, accidental touches and shy confessions. Even if the ending was a happy, it was not a sell off to simply gain viewership approval. The aftermath and closure included divorce, alcoholism, job loss and personal displacement. It took the high road in portraying corporation’s move to better safety, professionalism, public apologies and material support to the victims. Very nice, this drama.

      • Just Between Lovers ❤️ says:

Agreed. This drama is literally a perfection. Every bits, every scenes fit well and never out of place. From beginning to the end, i can’t find any flaw. I’m amazed

      • Luvkd says:

You have expressed it succinctly. The two leads were excellent. As you’ve pointed it, it was well written, directed and acted by all. It felt so real and the emotions raw. Kudos to everyone involved.

  7. Damilola Bada says:

    • Iwan Ridwan says:

Won jin ah is a rookie actress but she is really great in acting has a warm charm as a woman. I really keep getting mesmerized by her in early episodes. Strong woman is a unique too. Eventhough both of them are different genre but both of them are amazing drama

  13. Iwan Ridwan says:

uwaaaa happy ending…. best melodrama i have ever watched.
four lead got happy ending and they dont bickering each other (it is very rare since many korean drama have a four rectangle love-hating relationship.
hmm i want to ask guys, where gangdoo get a heart transplant, from who? i watch it but i dont understand ehehe

  14. JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

I’m glad they finally gave some peace and tranquility to this story. I’m satisfied with how they wrapped up everything…wish there’d been more on Gang Doo’s Noona romance….I was hoping for an expounded development on what happened there too. Thumbs up for this drama! Definitely recommend.

  15. Flowers Bloom says:

Wow.. the personality of Gang Doo. the girl already ask him to sleep with her but he refused afraid of something might happen and after that he will just left Moon Soo. Is there still a guy like that now.?? ?

  16. Nimi says:

  23. Rads ical says:

Aw thank you!!! I wish JBL has better ratings in Korea, but it was on cable so it wasn’t expected to be too high. I think has acquired a cult following internationally though! And yay! It’s always nice to meet another Primadonna! I’m still waiting for Hongki to release a Hwayugi OST, they better have one!

  24. FreeSpirit says:

  27. Yelit says:

I ADORE THIS COUPLE SOOO MUCH!!!

  28. paradox.of.fate says:

Beautiful, just beautiful! The whole drama was exceptional and the actors superb!when Gang Doo leans in to kiss her in the scene where they had the spectacular view (hope you get what I’m saying, no spoilers) he was deliberately slow which only showed his love, respect and passion he had for her. Probably was one of the best kissing scenes I’ve ever seen. He deserves an award for his acting skills in this drama, he blew me away. We are blessed to see him develop his talent and turn into such a complete actor. We can expect nothing but perfection in anything he does beyond this drama. Also added another female actress to my small list that I truly love. She was amazing.
    Bravo, Bravo!!!

  29. bree says:

Uptop!no loose ends, stellar performance by everyone from the cast to the crew. Simply perfect!😘 more of these please..

  30. Atherna says:

i watched this ending as soon as the episode came out. this morning i doubted whether i really did watch the ending and came back here to confirm whether i did or not. why? it’s just that cliche, predictable, and lacking impact… i didn’t leave an impression
but that doesn’t mean i love this drama any less. it’s still a 10/10 drama. the 15 episodes that came before this one were really great.

  31. Sumeeya Yusuf says:

i don’t have any words left to say
    i’m speechless…
    i’m content
