I think this drama really shows the life of judges where they fight for the rights of others and how hard they work as individuals giving justice to other people.
And as you can see, park cha oh reum (played by go ara) is the type of judge who seeks the truth and not following the laws and perspective by other judges. Thats why this drama is called Miss Hammurabi, from the title itself, hammurabi came from an ancient fact history before. If you know the Hammurabi Code (you can search it on google) its a law on babylon before that states “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” which means fairness.. If you done something unrighteous to others, you shall receive the same pain/punishment from what you’ve done.
From just watching episode 1, park cha oh reum (go ara) showed how people should be treated fairly whether if its a man or a woman. While Im bareun (played by kim myungsoo) follows what a judge should do by the rules and laws.
Personally, I think this drama is good because this is what our society looks like nowadays. The treatment between a man and a woman.☺☺ No matter the age is, we should know how to treat individuals fairly.
People probably have a biased perception on how Kim Myungsoo aka L is acting because he’s always been perceived as a flower boy, nothing more. His acting sucked. Sucked. Yes, past tense. I see that his acting has improved a lot (and I’ve seen him in 3 or more dramas, believe me I cringed at his acting then) and for the first two episodes of this drama he’s been doing pretty well.
Now on to the drama.. this drama has potential, I like it and I hope it’ll remain consistent throughout the whole show. Too early to be hyping and raving over the drama but so far so good.
Love his character. He’s doing a great job so far with it. I hope the female judge gets to the place where she doesn’t cry 5 times in an ep. I understand it shows how her heart is connected not just her mind, but will be glad to see that growth happen.
The good thing here is I think the leads are learning from each other. Hopefully Go Ara’s character will cry less as the story moves forward. I just hate it whenever a female character is portrayed to be emotional and had to cry a dozen times like yeah I get it, women are emotional creatures but let’s not go too over the top.

If she cries every episode I’m going to be annoyed, I hated her crying on Hwarang all the freaking time.
