Love the characters. Thank you writers for not letting us down!! The guitar playing at the end was incredible, would love to see the artist in concert any day!! The narration at the end was beautiful. Goes a long way, when you have family members struggling with Alzheimer’s.
Been there. My great aunt suffered with Alzheimer’s. Her moments of clarity were often hilarious. One day, I asked her if she wanted something from the store. I wanted to see if she would respond. She did! She said, “I don’t have 2 nickels to rub together.” I said, it’s okay, my treat. She said, “I want a shot of Johnny Walker Black and some porgies.” Rofl
Awwwww. lol So sweet. Mine taught me how to play poker at the age of 5! Jacks or better deuces wild til I was 10. It was always “grandma needs a new pair of shoes” for luck. I did get to hear that just one more time before all of her grandkids no longer existed in her timeline. It meant the world to me.
As hard as it is to deal with, you are lucky to have such a wonderful gift that will bring you many more smiles years to come. Mine still does. ;)
You made me choke up and become teary eyed, but it’s a good thing. You’re so right about the memories of her. Often times, I’ve smiled and laughed about our interactions. Your grandma sounds like she was a joy to be around. We have been blessed!
The writer took every sensitive topic and put it in this drama in such a beautiful performance, i so appreciate the concept <3 we all been so worked up by romance and cheesy lovey dovey stories that we almost forgot what life really is about. I love how they pointed out the small details in our lives, really it's so heart warming and makes us pay attention to others and ourselves more <3
can we talk about how ugly that beginning music is
