  1. gaurav says:

The drama will raise up to its bar only when Do kyung’s father will stand up against the grandfather. I am happy to see that they didn’t show do kyung going back to his house.

    • cindydoo says:

I rather not waste time with a war of wills. Writers, just give the grandpa one big heart attack instant death. Free the family.

    • amanda says:

ooooooooooohhhhhhhh that would’ve been a deal breaker for me if he had gone i wouldn’t forgive him coz it proves he’s all about the money, let’s hope he rebels long enough for them to forget he actually ever existed and only then can he have what he wants

      • gaurav says:

What kind of smug these rich people are. They like to control every bit of people’s life even if they are one of them. The grandfather is just egoistic .

        • amanda says:

i know right even some of the things dk said were a bit selfish and entitled like why can’t she say no to you coz you’re choi do kyung…….pliz

          • gaurav says:

She is absolutely right . Why the hell she would step into that nightmare of a family again. And it’s not like they are going to welcome her with open arms. Every character in the drama acts on their own without any thoughts. The one thing I can’t understand is JA’s father’s storyline.

          • amanda says:

me too he frustrates me so much and idon’t know why they wanted him in the spotlight so much co he’s in his own drama right now

  2. cindydoo says:

Kdrama sons always under estimate and are naive about the cruelty ability of their mothers. They never really understand the pain and suffering their women go through for them. Even with happy endings, the women carry the scars of the mothers internally for life. Wake up DK, your family is death and poison to JA.

    • amanda says:

true and what he said was a bit entitled and over the line. his friend has got more sense and understanding than him……………….he’s cute too

  3. Super chicken says:

I wish Do Kyung had told his mother. I don’t regret leaving home. Since leaving home i work harder but the company and the food is much better”.

    • cindydoo says:

Someday, I wish DK’s mother would be forced to live without the benefits and graces of wealth. Scratch the earth for your living like the rest. Be spit upon by the rich.

      • amanda says:

money like that doesn’t vanish overnight in fact i doubt it vanishes at all, the mom isn’t the real problem since she has a soft spot for ji an eventually she would give in (after a while long struggle and tug of war), it’s the grandpa whose the obstacle

        • cindydoo says:

Well, Mom to struggle cuz I think she’ll change, grandpa I just want dead.

          • amanda says:

mom likes ji an so yeah but as long as that old man lives the only thing to change his mind is death or kidney transplant from ji an

        • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

You don’t think Grandpa will change? He was super impressed by Ji An and proud to call her blood. You don’t think he’ll be moved by her ability to make DK a better and stronger Man, in the end?

          • amanda says:

nooooo absolutely not if he treated ji soo like that then when about ji an, he’s life’s slogan is if it doesn’t benefit haesung then it’s not worth it and the scandal behind ji an is hugeto rock the haesung boat which he would never risk not for his own flesh and blood, dk’s mom on the other hand might eventually give in coz she has a soft for ji an but the grandpa nope in fact with him alive i don’t see how there is a happy ending for this drama

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Touche’! But, something grandpa (GP) does best is make the best of the situation spin doctor style…If it will benefit the family he’ll be all for it…case in point how he was soooo effin proud of Ji An’s spin on the 40th anniversary fiasco where she covered up all the family issues/dirty secrets…GP admires a strong minded quick thinker who can pull a rabbit outta YOUR ass and tell you it came outta thin air and MAKE you believe it…He’s good at doing it his damned self…reminds me of an old infamous dotard here IRL in the US who always blows smoke up his constituents asses and they believe and eat up every word of it…*smdh sadly and chuckling sardonically to myself.*

But back to the drama, maybe GP will be the one who with some indirect prodding/interference/manipulation from the Dad, to actually make Ji An and DK’s situation a reality??… Hey…It could happen! Judy Tenuta voice … lol

  4. cindydoo says:

DK doesn’t quite get that he’s living as a rich poor guy. And while he “struggles”, his rich family is raining all hell on any of his acquaintances. So, his “suffering” is nothing compared to the beating everyone else is getting because of his rebellion.

  5. Super chicken says:

If Do Kyung’s grandfather is not playing by the rules then he shouldn’t either. he should use his money for his venture.

    • cindydoo says:

The best way to beat grandpa is not give him any way to dishonor your efforts. He won’t acknowledge you if you cheat even if he is too. To be like grandpa is to sink down to his level.

      • Super chicken says:

Fight fire with fire. Who cares if he respects you. He won’t change anytime soon. The only thing people like him respect is success, money and prestige. If DK attains all that he will be welcomed back in the fold with open arms.

        • cindydoo says:

One way to fight is for DK to openly tell the world he wants nothing to do with company or family. Then let the family deal with public scrutiny. Anything that happens to DK would be interpreted as retaliation from the family.

        • amanda says:

he only respects his money either way it’s the same for him if it won’t benefit haesung or him it’s all rubbish

  6. Ronald Harrington says:

How long will she take crap for this ass?????

  7. Sena says:

The closing dialogue of ep 37 [from Baduy @ Soompi Forums]
JA: Why are you waiting for me here? Someone might be tailing us.
    DK: Are you that scared?
JA: Yes, I’m scared. Very scared indeed. So what do you expect me to do?
DK: I’ll ask you just one question, and I want you to answer it. Did you really mean what you said? That if I’m the son of the Haesung Group, there can’t be anything between us. If you really mean that, I’ll put an end to this here. So answer me.
JA: I really did mean it.
DK: Than let’s finish it. If that’s really what you mean, there’s no alternative. Because even if I died and was born again, nothing could stop me being the son of the Haesung Group. But there’s something you need to realize. If I say something’s not on, then I really mean it. I can’t, as you put it, cast aside being Choi Do Gyeong for your sake.
    JA:I know that.
DK: I’ll give you one last chance. Hold on to me.
    [She shakes her head silently]
DK: Then let’s end it. Goodbye

    • Ronald Harrington says:

Basically, take all the crap, silently like a champ, because I’m worth it, that’s how great I am, if not your loss, bye……what a first class ass…

      • Ronald Harrington says:

And of course, she goes running back to him in the next episide, because she is a weak minded sop….

        • cindydoo says:

She’s the motherly type. She’s used her whole life taking care of her own family. We hope first class ass figures out he’s still living with a silver spoon in his mouth. He needs to see that she is worth a million times more than his own conforming sorry ass.

    • amanda says:

what’s to end when nothing even began dk?

      • Ronald Harrington says:

        Thank you!!!!!

      • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Their mutual love and respect for the other that she’s denying and he’s not spoken but all his action are alluding to it…It began back when she lived in the house. They just can’t develop it yet…the writers will develop it shortly…after they put them through another 2 or 3 trials that will happen all in the time span of 24 to 48 hours…then they’ll either break them up over some bs reason thought up and cause by the grandpa and / or mom and then DK will go back to the company and there will be a time jump of a year or so and they’ll meet again blah blah blah…y’all know the typical montage of trope story line that usually happens…Let’s hope the writers able to surprise us delightfully and with a great fulfilling method.

        • cindydoo says:

hopefully it won’t be drag, drag, drag…

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Right? lol But if I’ve learned anything from dramas that have 25 + episodes….they middle gets draggy to they can make sure to have enough content for the duration…Try watching a Filipino drama….damn just damn they will just about make you wanna blow out the writers brains with the filler >_<

        • amanda says:

hmm i would prefer the time jump now coz everyone’s wounds are still hurt and trying to form a relationship now is selfish of do kyung and it would make ji an look bad and shameless

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Yep…She’s gotta finish her woodworks classes and get big time over night drama style like Jang Na Ra did in Fated to love you.., Ji Soo has to go over seas and grow up…the dad has to ‘suffer’ alone more and get sympath from the family before he stops needing a sugar tit or is just killed off and the daughter in law has to have her epiphany moment of some kind of crazy near death experience that will make her realize she ‘really loves her fetus and won’t dare to abort it’ OR Ji Tae will decide to ‘make’ her -by some kind of black mail – keep the baby and he’ll raise it alone, yada yada…I hope the writing team doesn’t fall into any of those old pitfalls, where we can guess what’s going to happen! LOL They’ve been pretty good about their twists so hopefully they don’t disappoint!

          • amanda says:

miss ellie kim hahahahahahaha that was just too dramatic from being an office worker to big time artist.but true those are the most likely scenarios to play out we’ll see if they can spice it up

  8. Sena says:

    Preview for next episode
DK feels frustrated and disappointed because JA says she won’t join hands with him like she once did, and to make things worse, thanks to the Chairman’s obstruction, he can’t progress his project any further.
Though she cannot accept his heart, Ji An feels bad about DK because of all the hardships he’s going through.
Trying to get over her feelings for Hyeok, Ji Su introduces Ji Ho to him as her boyfriend.
Tae Su leaves home without telling his family, and suddenly collapses.

  9. Sena says:

The pace for the first 20 episodes was good. Started dragging after that. And after ep. 30, it’s really snail slow lol Many sub-plots are not moving at all…

    • cindydoo says:

Yes, please all clueless characters – figure it out and let’s move on!!!

      • amanda says:

if you love him just date him till you can’t anymore, i feel they should’ve gone with that traditional kdrama routine, they’d be dating now till the mom finds out and this when the relationship starts to get tested at least this way there would be more romance and less pity parties……..my gosh the pity parties in here go on forever.!!…………..you know what let’s do time jump(2yrs) and start from there coz we aint getting anywhere like this.

    • amanda says:

the leads story is dragging too long causing a domino effect for the others they could do a montage of dk’s part time adventures and fit 6mths into 6secs………….sometimes i just wanna see the support cast instead of them coz it feels like watching the same episode as last week,

  10. dutchessdioji says:

I’m glad Ji An told her that she isn’t interested in returning to that family. Even if it wasn’t meant wholeheartedly. Yep, that’s right everyone isn’t interested in only money, putting on airs, living on fake avenue and front street. The whole family are a bunch of hypocrites. Ji An should have “hit her in the head” with… You’re out here personally looking for your son, but you have people who can do that for you. Instead you should be tending to Ji Soo. *Insert sarcasm here* Remember her? The daughter you just found after twenty some odd years. How’s your relationship going with her because the last time I saw her she didn’t look too happy. Bam! Lol

  11. amanda says:

i kinda get what the dad meant but then again why was he so afraid of his kids and wait to trap them like this of which it doesn’t even compare, you still sold out your child man yes they changed when they became poor it’s natural but they never gave up i recall in the beginning of the drama they were happy and content, yes they worked harder and gave up on some luxuries but they did it and were happy most kids would’ve moved out the moment they could but they stayed despite the money problems and to slowly die alone with a grudge and trying to leave your kids feeling guilty about you is a cowardly way to handle it. rather fight for your family and bring it back together uurgh.

    • Ronald Harrington says:

And that darn five bedroom house they live in is no slouch, by the way, if that’s poor in Korea, sign me up

      • amanda says:

it’s actually pretty decent the bedrooms are big i wouldn’t mind a house like that i would only change the location of the toilet in fact in most dramas i’ve noticed the awkward location of the toilet right in the living room, when someone takes a dump how do you eat kkkkkkk, and it’s just an awkward place for a toilet

    • cindydoo says:

He’s so in his own pity world. It’s like he’s in a whole different drama show – his disconnect with the family.

      • amanda says:

right i mean get over it he just wants everybody to come and kiss his ass coz he’s too ashamed of what he did but he’s the kinda person who can’t take people being angry at him so he came up with this “counter-attack” to make his kids pity him but in all actuality if the kids stopped consulting him about money matters it was only to not to lessen the burden on him.

  12. amanda says:

grandpa no’s got to be stopped!!! give him a heartache and put him in a coma coz i don’t see how any of this will work out as long as he’s around and talking and manipulating

  13. Chatelaineces says:

That collapse of Tae Soo will galvanize the fractured Seo family. All of the four children love their father. At the very least they will rally around him, perhaps in the hospital.

  14. anele says:

    Drama to the max!!

  15. Ronald Harrington says:

Okay then, I’ll give you one super duper, holy fantastic with a cherry on top last chance to hold me back…..jeepers, give it a rest gosh oh mighty….

  16. JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

This episode is truly a turning point. All the characters started laying out their real feelings about things and expressing themselves in honest ways….Do Kyung was so impressive because in one episode he ‘grew up’ from a handsome lil boy to a hot n sexy man…he’s always been a cutie pie but he finally woke up the ‘woman’ in me..with the forceful grown man attitude he took with the Mom and Ji An in the last scene…Dad and Ji Soo are still on that ‘oh woe is me bull shyt’ and there is some validity to their woe but dammit man it’s time to gtf over themselves and put the big girl panties and boy draws on and suck it up buttercups…

    • cindydoo says:

It better be, cuz, it’s starting to drag, drag, drag…

      • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

It is…after tomorrow there’s only 10 epis left..they have to get their climax epis where all hell breaks loose from 40 to about 47 and then anticlimax from there till the end…

  17. cindydoo says:

DK’s still elitist behavior makes me want to time warp him 10 years without JA as punishment.

  18. Hogwild says:

JA said her phone was on silent mode. But she got Hee’s initial call because it vibrated. So unless she switched it off she could have heard the ding when message came through.

  19. newbooks says:

Do kyung is a stalker I hope ji an does not end up with him
