I watch raw because I am impatient, I don’t understand Korean, but once you know the characters it’s pretty easy to know what’s going on. I try not to give away spoilers, just comment on scenes that don’t give it away, but that scene I could not let pass…..
The mind really determines our state of health. I wonder if the father’s disease is similar to hypochondriacs, persons who feign illness often. I associate this to lack of attention. In the case of Ji An’s Father, he was so willing to have stomach cancer. Perhaps, it serves as an escape to his lack of power in the face of his family’s many problems. Quitting is the big cop out. Suicide turns you to a Grim Reaper ( with reference to the drama Goblin). In the olden days, for Catholics, one could not be buried on hallowed ground if one committed suicide. Twice, this drama touched on suicide. Ji An tried it. Dad modified the approach. There is a lot of giving up in this drama. Include the abortion of Soo A. Anymore of this may not be good material for the General Patronage.

Do Kyung…Prove yourself boo! So glad he told Ji An what he did and still showed that he is in love with her and can’t help but be concerned / notice what she’s going through..
…people are dissing him saying he’s an arrogant, conceited, elitist but why is it wrong for him to value himself as a man and demand that the woman he’s interested in and love to acknowledge that she too can and will love him for his strength of character and know his personal value, regardless and irrespective of his money/financial status?
A man is not a man if he has no self respect and doesn’t demand others to value him as he does himself, right?
Which is what Ji An does, -demands respect- in a no nonsense manner and everyone has been applauding her for her strength of character…I applaud that too, it’s so tiring seeing weak willed female leads…
DK’s mom is the same…She puts down her husband and tromps all over his feelings…and is why he’s questioning their marriage and if what he can only view as an unfilled sacrifice now was worth the burned hopes and dreams he had for aspirations at the start of their marriage …
Ji An’s mom is a nag too with her husband and is part of why he is a pyschosomatic now….
This is how Ji An and DK will be if he doesn’t put his foot down or up Ji An’s ass to stop this generational curse of hen pecked husbands who have no dominance as Head Of Household and the one who wears the pants, in their homes.
I can’t wait to see how the writer’s flip the script and close this out…maybe the men will start being more than just financial providers but true leaders of their house holds…?? Opinions?

The father is experiencing a legit personal crisis but mainly from being so deep in his feelings…he held it in for too doggone long now it’s spilling out.
I would let DK be with JA if I thought he was strong enough to rebuke his Mom and his Grandfather – but so far I don’t see it yet. So, no, he is not quite a man yet and yes, JA should avoid him since he can’t protect her from his family. When he can stand up to his family then JA can be by his side. For now, if she does so, she’ll get murdered by his family.
I think the one that wears the pants should be the competent one – and many times you switch places depending on the circumstances. Even if the men man up, I’d have to wait and see about JA’s Dad. His past doesn’t match up with his hen pecked pity me version of the past. DK’s Dad, we’ll need to see why they did get married and if there’s any love or commitment left – meaning when you married him, you should be loyal to him not the grandpa. And grandpa just needs to die. As for JA and DK, DK has a long way to go before he comes even with JA. Being assertive doesn’t mean you deserve it.
I agree with what you said…. this drama started so right then everything fell apart after Ji An’s suicide, it became too slow and I wonder how far are they going to drag this bad scenarios when there’s only a few episodes left… i hope they are not planning on fixing everything on the last two episodes like magic that everyone just forgive and forget and all smiles and happy… I have seen so many good dramas end badly I hope this won’t be one of them…. Writer’s you better get moving!!!!!!!!!
YEP! That last scene of his was his admission that the last straw that broke the camel’s back was GP blocking DK and the answer that the wife gives will be the deciding factor on what he does first lol
I wish they’d give Cinderella and the brother more screen time. JS and Hyuk that part was too funny with the brother I couldn’t stop laughing. JA is all sorts of confused I mean she is just dragging the guy on a string and using a bulldozer to push him away. I’m glad the girl caught her leaving the room. Wish he’d remember the kiss haha.
I know a lot of sad things happened this episode, but… IM SO EXCITED FOR JI SOO!!! Something good finally happened for her. I know she’s going to sad after she finds out about her Dad, but let her be happy for now.
ALSO!!! Someone is trying to expose her as Eun Seok. My guess is the aunt considering the fact the Do Kyung left she’s trying to get in.
