    5:25am – taking it in raw :D!

  2. Elle says:

Sorry for saying this but I think PSH didn’t make any improvement in his acting. How to say, his acting is okay, not bad, but I can tell that it’s only an act. Not natural, if I may say.
I can’t explain it well, but I watched lots of his drama and I think he is lack of expression. His expression are the same. Nothing change. So I could not feel how struggling CDK atm, how struggling he is when he found out about JA story etc. Esp when I watch it raw.

    • Ronald Harrington says:

Exactly, he can say that is the “character” all he wants, he just can not act….

    • Amulya Kolusu says:

unlike you I’ve always found him good and great in emotional scenes, I remember I cried buckets while I watched The Princess Man

      • Chahida says:

Exactly! I cried too in The Princess Man, I really loved his acting that drama was the best and my favorite so far :)

        • Chatelaineces says:

I agree with you. Park Si Hoo is one actor who I try to retrace all his dramas: My Family Honor, Prosecutor Princess, Cheomdamdong Alice, Princess Man, Iljjimae and this, My Golden Life. Princess Man is his shining moment. Of course, that drama was a Romeo and Juliet adaptation so his interpretation of his character was rich with works done before him. He has the corner on playing a son of a rich man or someone from a wealthy background. He has a chiselled face, a well proportioned physique and wears clothes elegantly. For this role, I think he is a fit. His screaming at Ji An bouts, I justify, is a result of his frustration and disbelief at why a woman who professes she loves him cannot love him back. He is piqued, emotionally affected and thoroughly not thinking. In my life, I have had my share of unexplained shouting and out of turn responses. I thought his acting reflected this. The entry of Grandfather, I think, will help solidify their relationship in as much as they were “caught” in one house. If Grandpa is smart he will use Ji An as bait to bring back Do Kyung home. He did that in the past with Myung Hee. And then he controlled her life and her family. He is one smart chaebol.

      • Ino Yong Senpei says:

Same here..His role and acting in The princess man was amazing that my eyes never stopped crying

      • ClauxLuna says:

I think The Princess Man is his best work. His acting in Cheongdamdong Alice and My Golden Life is the same imo.

      • Elle says:

You are right. Maybe princess man was one of the best of his character he ever played. But at that moment, they were couple in real life. Maybe that is one of the reason why he immersed so well in his character.

    • LaksFan says:

You are just being honest and I will be too as well. I love the drama, but I found PSH acting sometimes just “okay.” Example, during JA and CDK scene, I just couldn’t cry bc I couldn’t feel his emotion as much. Looking at JA’s expression I felt it.

    • amanda says:

yeah his expressions are a bit awkward haven’t watched any of his other dramas so i choked it up to his character upbringing in this drama where emotion seems to be outlawed, they do not have that he breaks my heart factor but he’s still an okay actor though only noticeable when you’re veteran kdrama watcher like us, am i right? hahahahaha we be so critical.

  3. Yuni Trisnawati says:

I think this episode 40 but the tittle it’s 42 ha Haha

  4. Chatelaineces says:

Haesung Group is bad news for Love with ordinary mortals. Hyuk was quick to let go his heiress girlfriend and spare his myself the heartache that Ji An experienced in their hands. Even Do Kyung acknowledge the extreme pain and desperation Ji An went through after leaving the Haesung household. So he gets it now…why they cannot be together. So that is two couples broken up. Only Cinderella and Ji Ho remain the happy couple discovering the simple thrills of selling in the flea market. Let us see if Grandfather’s strong arm tactics will work on Do Kyung. He might discover that his grandchildren have flown the coop and are ready to pathfind their own future.

    • Ronald Harrington says:

Nope, he already said he will NEVER give up Haesung, he is not that strong, bright, brave or male….

      • Chatelaineces says:

But he will try to find his own way.

        • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

He will find his way and all will turn out for the best. That’s how drama’s go. GP will not totally win in the end…and DK will totally man up to be whom he’s supposed to be which is an evolved and matured version of whom he is (which isn’t that bad considering and in comparison to many non elitists)in order for the romance to be complete.

Remember the title synopsis…he finds happiness with the woman who’s strong and independent, paraphrased.

The writers/directors/producers will surprise everyone with a perspective and viewpoint that may or may not be cliche but they’ll wrap it up properly and satisfactorily…Of course ALL will not be happy with their ending but it will be a sufficient ending.

          • Chatelaineces says:

You were paying attention to the synopsis. Good to remember. I think Vice Chairman Choi will be pivotal in the ending. If he takes on the crusade of his three children, Myung Hee cannot be far behind to support him. She, after all, married him for love. Grandfather No needs a male heir and Do Kyung has always been his heir apparent. He is also first and foremost a businessman. Remember, he allowed Myung Hee to marry an ordinary man but controlled her family. When he sees the entire Choi family in revolt, some give and take will happen. I think he will allow Do Kyung to marry Ji An. Do Kyung will counter by allowing him to do his own venture on top of Haesung and will insist that his family with Ji An live in their own house. If you remember, too, the opening episode, Do Kyung was trying to push a new venture which was shot down. If anything, Do Kyung proved that he was able to support himself one month, without support, outside of the family system. That manifests grit which I think the Grandfather silently appreciates. This is going to be a happy ending.

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Yes, I remember that scene..where DK’s dad supported him in public but put the idea down behind closed doors.

I’m curious if the Gran Aboji will be ok with Ji An because he appreciated her grit and resolve as a business person as well. He was extremely enamored of her in a genuine way unlike how he faked the funk with Ji Soo to get her to acquiesce and manipulate her into doing what he wanted due to her gullibility.

Excellent point about the parents ordinary marriage as well. Hopefully, they’ll use that as a foundation for unraveling the knots in the story line. They’ve done an excellent job so far… I just hope they don’t pull a contrary just to be different ending, as they sometimes will do so they can say they were different. But all it really does is irritate the viewers….case in point the ending of Sealed with a kiss and the sequel to it…uggghhhhh they both made me sangry… lol

          • Chatelaineces says:

After I answered you I forgot to put in the angle of the two “kidnappers”. Remember, those two meant to only steal the child’s diamond hair clip but we’re returning her back to the car when Myung Hee sped away nearly running over the woman kidnapper carrying Eun Seok. Did Myung Hee mean to lose Ji Soo? Who was Myung Hee going to meet in such a hurry that she did not bother to check if her daughter was still in the car? Why is Vice-Chairman Choi so solicitous of Ji Soo and why is Myung Hee so gruff with Ji Soo? Is there a secret still unrevealed that will give us a surprise ending? Now add back the element that Vice-Chairman Choi will himself support his kids in the end. Otoke?

          • Sena says:

that was what the kidnappers claimed. But is it true? Not clear yet. But at least we know that they’re at least partially lying. They said to Mrs Noh that they had waited for someone to pick up JS. But then talking to each other, they mentioned that they had left her on her own and that night it rained + cold so if the Seos had not picked her up, JS would have died. If so, how did they trace JS again? Mystery.

          • Chatelaineces says:

The two waited for someone to pick up Eun Soek near the place where the original Ji Soo was buried. Perhaps, when Tae Soo and Mi Yang picked up Eun Soek the child was “safe”, they left. That was to corroborate their tale that they were only thieves but not kidnappers. My personal take on how the kidnappers knew to find Eun Soek was through an order. Remember, the woman kidnapper posed as a cosmetic seller doing home facials. When she used the restroom, she took two toothbrushes. I think she was under instructions to do so. If we consider a conspiracy theory, perhaps there was an opportunity to be had to resurface Eun Seok apart from just ransom/finder’s money. Frankly, I really am waiting for an unrevealed secret that changes the dynamics of this story as we go to the ending of this drama.

      • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

LOL he’ all that and more…they’re saving his ‘evolution’ and the audience’s aha ‘epiphany’ moments for later… He may even be brave enough to give up Haesung…or Ji An may find strength to return to the lion’s den and be queen lion herself…Never say NEVER lol All I’ve predicted so far has come true…they’ve just not totally manifested it as yet.

If they don’t make him become the evolved hero, then there’s a reason and a lesson in the story line, but most drama’s like to one up the last similar drama with an improved story line of growth for the protagonists and an epiphany to the old school line of beliefs and action. It’s the going trend…We’ll see soon enough. lol

        • Ronald Harrington says:

Hahahaha……nice, but remember, if he needs ‘epiphany ‘and “evolution” Then he is not all those things yet….get it?

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

You’re judging the character on being inexperienced in relationships as him being a total an incomplete package and failure at being a man. He is everything you’ve accused him of not being, just not at the level that he will be. Being a responsible man at 20 is not the same as being a man with responsible and evolved maturity at or of 30, 40 and 50 etc…

Everyone goes through life’s cycles of learning oneself and growing as a person and as part of a couple and family roles. DK’s at a phase where he’s becoming more aware of what he should be and doing so rather than knowing what propriety dictates and following it because it’s what’s expected of him. i.e. Evolution of one phase of manhood to the next.

Ji An’s evolved to her current level already because of how difficult her life has been…but she’s IS as he stated afraid of a relationship between them because of the issues with his family. Once the script gets to his full evolution, they’ll clear the path for them to get together despite the current fears.

Ji An will get her fighting spirit back because she’ll have grown in her next phase of evolution into the woman who can and will be able to handle whatever interaction with the Choi family and Haesang group, plot the writer’s come up with to close out the drama.

          • Ronald Harrington says:

            He’s 35…..nuff said?

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

lol…Ok. Though I will mention, that from the start he’s admitted to not being very relationship savvy as he hasn’t been in very many. Check the first few epis… #40YearOldVirgin naive

          • Ronald Harrington says:

            HI SENA!!!!!!!!

      • UriDijun says:

If you’re talking about DK… lol
I don’t see a bad thing at all about not giving up Haesung, it’s his family, of which he has always been proud to be part and has great respect to. The fact that he doesn’t agree with certain things doesn’t change it or that they are part of who he is.
It’s exactly his effort to reunite those who he loves that makes him strong, brave and male. Why should he give up on your parents? Why should anyone do that? o.O

  5. My Kang Daniel😘❤️ says:

First one to watch it subbed?
    Yes?…… no?

  6. cindydoo says:

    Finally, DK, you get it.

  7. Kayla says:

Ahhhhhh love the maknae couple!!!! Wish they would show more of them

  8. lovekdrama100 says:

i really doubt ji soo…. i don’t know but she is not someone who would obey her mother as she did today. or may be she is just devastated because hyuk left her just like that.

  9. 매디 says:

    I still hate CDK

  10. JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Ok. Here it comes! All hell will break loose and the worst heart wrenching chaos will ensue that will make the audience crazy along with the characters for the new couple weeks and then the story line will begin to all make sense of why they’ve proceeded as they have…

This has been one of the best unpredictable and convoluted story lines with the typical angst and misunderstandings and love connections. Excited to see how they’ll all untangle or become further entangled soon!

  11. Athena Gliddon says:

Lord I hope evil gramps gets a massive face off from his grandson. I keep waiting for the inevitable explosion. The whole family would be better off dumping the company and being happy on their own. Gramps is no fun at all.

  12. Josepha-Michal Walker says:

The Mom never liked nor cared about her own daughter JiAn and so when she got another daughter she favored her even knowing she wasn;t hers.

    • Hogwild says:

I think JS was like JA’s mom, so they got along. JA was independent and smart. Nothing in common in my opinion.

  13. Sindy Springer says:

I was going straight to the media and air all the Haesung. Group dirty laundry unless grandpa backed off. Let’s see who has more to loose…

  14. Ronald Harrington says:

All I know is I love Bread Pitt, though some of his performances are a bit doughy, maybe he needs to rise to the occasuion…..rotfl

  15. Josepha-Michal Walker says:

JiSu doesn’t get that Hyuk would have nothing to do with her or her real family after finding out how they drove JiAn to suicide. I hope she finds out before the series is over. She is still stupid and selfish and self-absorbed. She only looked up JiAn’s family when things didn’t work out for herself.

    • Ronald Harrington says:

Won’t mean much from France though…

    • Sena says:

It could be that the writer didn’t have the time to develop JiSu’s character so JS has been written so far as clumsy, ditsy, clueless, immature/childish and self-absorbed as well as strong headed and stubborn. That’s why it’s not so believable that Hyuk would suddenly fall for bratty JS. Feels fake. But it seems that the writer is determined to put these two together.
And JS’s fans are now waiting for Hyuk to be JS’s “hero” and fetch her from the airport & save her from her mother and may be to even elope together and live happily ever after 😅😅
IRL, that wouldn’t work. Hyuk hasn’t yet seen JS in angry, rude, argumentative mode…. when she doesn’t listen or makes assumptions based on her low self esteem and throws tantrums ….
Not as ‘naive & innocent’ as she may seem at first. Good luck Hyuk 😅
If Hyuk were my brother, I’d be very sad and worried for him; he deserves better. How much of his life can he share with simple minded, slow witted JS?
But if JS were my sister, I’d be grateful for Hyuk heheh 😅😅
It’s a matter of perspective after all 😅😅😅😅

  16. 5Zero4 says:

I know someone who can help Do Kyung and Ji Soo handle all the Haesung top brass. They need Kang Pil Joo from Money Flower. LOL KPJ has experience in making corporate executives crumble to their knees. ^^

  17. cindydoo says:

JS, just publicly tell the world who you are and then announce you don’t want to have anything to do with rich poop, go back to your old family and wait for Hyuk come to his senses.

  18. cindydoo says:

I think wimpy Dad should divorce his wife and go marry the other woman who’s always liked him and has that philandering hubby in Vietnam.

  19. cindydoo says:

Hyuk, stupid, stupid, stupid!!! JS NEEDS you to take her away from her evil family. You’re suppose to be her savior!

  20. noona park says:

I hate it, why they also interfere the of their grandchildren and children. The mother is just a puppet of his father and the father cannot fight the right of his own children.. the manager the their family betray them.. what a crazy world.

    • La canadienne says:

So true ! I am watching again the ending and I am : WTF, this weasel again ! And out of the blues, he is not just going to DK but clearly say “you two”, that mean JA is not safe either ! A devil this man !

  21. Fatin Faten says:

ji ahn poor acting kills me over and over …cdk on the other side nailes it like wow
