this episode what a waste…..also can ji soo nd hyuk kiss already?

    • Chatelaineces says:

In terms of the story, this was a significant turning point.

      • Leka B. says:

        yeah! That’s for sure!

        • Chatelaineces says:

I think that So Tae Soo found the source of the dummy shareholders in the Angel Foundation. The common denominator were the disabled children. The parents of these children were assigned shares they could possibly not buy because they lived in rundown villas (that once were built by Tae Soo). He must have found conclusive evidence of this.
In a dramatic act, Do Kyung put himself up for the CEO position. Both will give speeches. If the evidence that Tae Soo was strong enough, his speech could undermine the shareholders currently in the camp of Jin Hee. It comes down to again, the issue of trust.
This solid support of the family of Ji An to the Choi Family propped up the business. Ji An may have just found the key to being an acceptable daughter-in-law.
Tae Soo to the rescue. Thus, he leaves a lasting legacy to his two girls. On a personal level, he can die knowing he has managed to make his family live well.
The wrap up is coming along just fine. Soo A just asked her mother-in-law to live with them. Tae Soo may have just contributed to his girls settling down properly. Ji An did not send her Finnish application yet. Hmmm.

          • Gg says:

I do dislike the fact that JA has to prove herself worthy of becoming a CHOI in law. DK in my opinion should prove to Papa Seo that he is capable of protecting JA, her dignity as an individual and not just the property of HSG.

Papa Seo showed his children he is the big man here. His unconditional love for his family and the willingness to give without reservations for their happiness is something. If there is anyone who should be bitter towards DK it should be him.

I hope this would be acknowledged by the Noh family.

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

I can’t wait to see how it’s all wrapped up. DK is slowly waking up …but again the trend with this story is that the women are the pillars of strength who prop up their husbands…so far it seems that DK will continue the tradition. I’d hoped that he would be the generational ‘curse’ breaker but so far he’s not been so in this aspect. Although he is the breaker of the old world mindset of the haraboji and his rebellion to be his own man and lead like the ‘common man’ probably will be the cause of the Haesang Group being able to move forward as a modernized new world and thought leadership style group whom the shareholders will fall in line and follow his youth and optimism style with the assistance of Ji An’s mentorship. Just waiting to see!

          • Gg says:

His impromptu decision to challenge his Uncle for me is the sign that he has come to his own. His becoming a CEO should bring HSG up to date for the next generation. JA’s and the Seo’s influence on him makes him the stronger candidate.

Bringing back his parents and grandfather was a hard sell. The company he established is enough to prove his viability to lead the company forward.

This is my take why this episode is so important and why it highlights the Seo’s . JA then can live her golden life when DK is in full control of the HSG.

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Agreed, he’s come into his own with the decision to date Ji An against his family’s will. Also, the literal foreshadowing of him ‘fighting back’ with the punches to the man following him and reporting his moves to his grandfather. To finally, the birth of his first business and setting his granddad aback with the pic and text that gave him the first collapse.

DK’s made the transition because he’s always had the promise and potential to be different from his family’s belief system. His continual effort of exerting ‘Noblesse Oblige’ was the prime indication, although his motivation was not completely pure.

Destiny in the form of Ji An’s support and example of being a pillar of strength for her family and his own father’s covert and blatant assistance instigated and manifested the final transitioning phase. He’ll have his work cut out for him if they have a season two. lol

A few of us have been eluding to your/these predictions of resolution of the story line for quite a few episodes back as being very likely how they’ll wrap up the story. They’ve thrown in a few surprises here and there so, it’ll be interesting to see how they tie everything together.

Hopefully these predictions will become fact or at least close to them!

          • Gg says:

Yes as you have said we are all waiting for the home stretch run.

And finally I sure wish everyone to know and live their “ golden life. “ 😉😉😉

          • Chatelaineces says:

Ji An is a prized catch. She is smart, hard working and a take charge person. She does not need the acceptance of the Choi family. In fact, initially when Do Kyung came to bring her coffee, she practically ignored him. That is a way of saying that their one week was over. When asked why she and her family were helping out his family, she attributed this for their concern over Ji Soo.
Her father, Tae Soo, is simply a generous person by nature. He wants to make sure his daughters have every chance. He generated $20,000 for Ji An’s living expenses in Finland using his insurance benefits intended for his cancer treatment. He brought down the three damning internet articles because it caused his girls harm. And then he figured out the source of the dummy shares that would put down Jin Hee and her husband. This he did for Ji Soo and to a certain extent Ji An (Because Do Kyung is important to her).
He is dying. He is leaving behind legacies so his family can live better. A great father is Tae Soo.

      • Oh Hae Young 's Fan says:

why do you say this? I just think that is impossible for ji an to act as nothing has happened….i know its fake but still. i have the seo

        • Chatelaineces says:

Ji An is protecting herself and keeping her end of their bargain to date only for one week. She is determined to move on. If you put yourself into her shoes, right after their one week was up, Do Kyung was back at Haesung. Considering his mother’s last ditch effort to supposedly marry them after three years (in her attempt to have Do Kyung to go back home), Ji An knows his mother is dead set against her. In her head, she needs to make her own way in life. Finland is her greener pasture at this point.
If she was my daughter, I will really encourage her like Tae Soo. There is a world out there that will give you a chance to succeed without the barriers set by their society. A little heart ache today is a small exchange for professional growth in a much bigger world.

  2. Chatelaineces says:

Without the benefit of the English subs, the Seo Family has just found a way to bail out the Choi Family from being ousted from the Haesung Board. The development that Tae Soo discovered will either remove Jin Hee’s husband from contention or there is a block of votes that will favor Do Kyung’s family. All of a sudden the poor family is making it possible for the rich family to stay in power. This is what my mother refers to as the “world being a round ball where sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down”. This drama, thrice, has shown how the so-called poor and ordinary people can make things happen. First, Do Kyung’s first investor was his Secretary-Driver. Secondly, So Tae Soo found a way to remove the damning internet articles. Thirdly, So Tae Soo traced a significant person that could turn the tide in the Haesung management struggle. I think we will find No Myung Hee finally eating humble pie.

  3. Sena says:

DK’s dad should thank JA’s dad and let him know that he saved JS from death when he found her as a child. And JS and DK should know that too so there is no hard feelings about the Seos ‘stealing’ JS. TS is grateful to CJS when it should be the other way around lol
NMH and her dad deserve being ousted. They bullied everyone they had power over. Despicable creatures.

    • Gg says:

I see where you are coming from. The writer was very successful in making the haraboji so obnoxious that I cannot even see him acknowledging any of the Seo family. That slapping of Papa Seo and, forcibly bringing him to the hospital to force him to confess as a criminal was the biggest turn off.

Right now I am curious how the writer will resolve this. The Seo’s have a big heart to support JS like their own yet, acknowledging the fact about her biological ties. Papa and Mama Seo will be leaving their children a legacy of love, and acceptance with out reservations.

      • Sena says:

True. That’s why I don’t like how they want us to empathize with JA/JS/Hyuk etc… helping the Nohs recover their power in the company. Caring for family doesn’t mean you help them even when they’re aggressors lol

        • Gg says:

          Empathy with the Noh’s

That for me is a hard sell and the saving factor in this episode is when DK steps out and gathers the courage to proclaim he instead was going challenge his uncle in becoming the CEO. This for me is the redeeming factor.

The Old Fart and his mom and dad as far as the stockholder’s are concerned is more of the same. The coup was successful because the biggest stockholders lost confidence in the management style of his grand pa et al. His uncle ran it better than his dad who just did what he was asked to do.

DK challenging his uncle has a better chance with the stockholders. His ideas about recycling, up-cycling and his projects should make HSG stronger for the next generation.

This should have been the focus of the old fart instead of trying to force marraiges on the younger generation and the superficiality of training JS to become a Noh.

  4. cindydoo says:

Do Koreans spend so much time talking to Gods and ancestors and arguing about their unfair lives and why they are being punished or blessed?

    • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Many people of faith regardless of their nationality spend lots of time speaking to their deity of choice and lamenting their woes and or giving glory for their blessing.

  5. JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

I hate cliff hangers THIS good. Ughhh…. wish I’d waited until next week to see this and the next two epis.

    • Naru22 says:

Exactly!!! I’m feeling the same now😭😭😭😭
Should have watched next week directly!!! One whole week to go

      • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Chin up! There’s actually TWO weeks to go…they added two more epis so there’s four to go! :)

        • Naru22 says:

Yup!! I feel they added unnecessarily. Somehow I felt that the last two episodes were prolonged…

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

hmmm…maybe their objective was/is to give all the fan service they can…people want to see the Cinderella couple’s relationship blossom and really want to see Ji Soo and Hyuk and the Ji Tae and wife be happy too.

It was feeling like they were having to rush the story to finish it so I’m glad they got an extension. The drama’s been worth the watch and wait as

        • Sindy Springer says:

I know this late but they did not add two more episodes this is actually episode 48. Drama hood counted the 2 special episodes they had awhile back. If you look at the beginning of the drama it actually states the correct amount of episodes

  6. cindydoo says:

Who’s “golden life” is it now?

  7. Iwan Ridwan says:

hmm i’ve seen many family drama, but this one is unique since actually both the family have a sorry and debt toward each other….. do kyung father and mother maybe a good person but do kyung grandfather influence them to maintain the power and authority while indirectly suppress the family love, they need to learn what is sharing and why family love is really important capable beating the status and money.

  8. Kayla says:

I just hope that the maknae couple will be a success

  9. 5Zero4 says:

I’m all in for a Ji Ho and Seo Hyun spinoff. They can call it Our Simple Life. It’s too bad they couldn’t keep the chaos and drama close to even between the two families. To me, the Seo family suffered 90% of the time while the Choi family is at 10%.

    • eunmi says:

Totally agree, ji ho and seo hyun need more screen time. I don’t want writers to keep their story so short every episode.

  10. noona park says:

What a stressful i have to wait another episode.. hmmm..

  11. amanda says:

they’re wasting too much time with this business talk……..get to the point please!!

  12. Gg says:

With TS’s help, DK becoming a CEO, and JA going to Finland, and JS with Hyuk the story weaves back to give every one what they wished for?

The NOH still thinks in the same light with the old fart thinking CK is going to give back his crown in a silver platter. At least I should expect some acknowledgement from the older NOH’s some recognition from them about the SEO’s. DK of course will acknowledge but what about the rest.

Huh, duh, whatever! Oh well……guess so.
