Great drama, I thought it would be a sad ending but it wasn’t.
I can’t get enough of the three lead actors their acting was so on point. Park Min Young’s acting is gold.

For real King Joongjong didnt have children with Queen Dangyeok. And Joongjong had 3 wifes. Queen Dangyeok was kicked out. He had many children but NO CHILDREN WITH DANGYEOK. ALSO. Joongjong died in his 50’s but Dangyeok in her 70’s. So producers remade story…. ( i dont understand why he had so many wifes, can someone explain?)
It says clearly the beginning of each episode that this drama, although inspired by historical figures, it’s entirely fictional, so they didn’t necessarily follow with the true, historical story line. As for why he had so many wives: during Joseon and other historical periods of SK, it was something usual for a king to secure his position by marriage with multiple women which came from various backgrounds, usually powerful families having their backs. He most probably, if indeed had three wives, did it to secure his position and also for financial support as the king had no land and was entirely supported by his court. Hope this makes sense :D
he died first and i read that they let her see him when he was old and dying which was shown in the last scene
and jeseon kings married multiple women from powerful family to secure alliance it had nothing to do with love
he was indeed force to dethrone her and its written in history that he loved her very much there even a lot of folktales about them….no wonder she was reinstated in the future as queen although she had already died
even history says he did love her a lot ,never really wanted to be king and was forced to overthrew her
folktales said the longed 4 eachother and i read she was allowed to see him when he was sick and dying which is equal to the last scene
also kings married many women for political alliance…it had nothing to do with love
The ending was really confusing. Who is the new queen after chae kyung and does he have son with chae kyung. He woke up after dreaming that he was with chae kyung so was that all a dream he had when they ran to hug each other. Chae kyung was talking about not wanting a rival between their children. It’s so confusing.
i get this ending & i usually wouldn’t like it but it works better this way. they just got to be together in their old age & it was enough. she was right that if she ever had children with him that they’d be like him & his brother. that’s one thing i hate about these historical dramas because while he can go off and have children with any woman she just loses out on her chance to do the same.
what the hell…??
this is moonlovers all over again, whyyy didn’t they just go with the first ending (running to each other and having kids) LIKE SERIOUSLY why didn’t she go back to him?? the minister was out of the picture, the previous king died, she was proven innocent, SO WHAT STOPPED HER!!!!
Even though I am so happy i finished watching after a 2 month delay due to my move, it was so worth it. My heart still aches for all of the heartbreak that occurred, too much sacrificed by so many. Great acting, especially by the young actors who had me hooked from the beginning. Kudos! ;)
is it a happy ending?! jebal! putakhamnida!

I agree with you
I don’t like this ending
It was still cute though
Love will be forever??❤❤❤❤
It was a happy ending, but I can’t understand why did they remain away from each other when there were no more antagonist.
another great drama ended. this is one of the most memorable dramas I’ve watched.
Even tho this was a sad ep…the ending was beautiful, in the end they lived in love :)
Such a nice story. An ever lasting love
