after each episode i feel worse and worse for Yi Sun (fake King) because he’s a puppet, his life depends on those pills, and he doesn’t have the courage to tell Ga Eun the truth. despite feeling sorry for Yi Sun, he is becoming extremely greedy and it’s annoying. he doesn’t seem to care about helping the people or the real king in his position. he only cares about taking Ga Eun away from the Crown Prince. i really wish Ga Eun would found out the truth so she would stop doing stupid things. the secrecy is making everyone miserable and near death.

    • paradox.of.fate says:

Ditto! These low IQ roles for woman are killing me!

      • Cinnamon Carter says:

HwaGun isn’t but she’s annoying. I’m so interested to see what her wicked self has to say about her real *job* hahaha. I think in the end ChunSoo’s bodyguard is going to fight Gon TO THE DEATH! Hopefully he won’t die saying on his last breath “GaEun, I’m sorry. I killed your father, not the crown prince. Please forgive hi….”

        • paradox.of.fate says:

hahaha love your synopsis. Especially his last dying breath not completed! lmao! I bet the CP is still going to take advantage of how much HwaGun loves him and will continue to be a major part til the end.

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

NNOOOOOO!! CHUNSOOO!!! Maybe he’ll kill Gon. Hahaha I really seem to want him dead? SEVEN DAY never seemed so long?

          • paradox.of.fate says:

I’m supposed to be moved in 10! Not even close. lol

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

I lived with my brother before and we had to be out by a certain day, Girl, I was packed weeks in advance because I hate doing it. He hadn’t packed a thing by the 30th! On the 1st I was outta there! He packed THAT DAY! The owner lost the house we were renting and the city came by to lock it up?they had to wait 4-6 hrs on him! They were cool though and said it happens but is worse when they’re doing an eviction of people.

          • paradox.of.fate says:

Absolutely! My going through it now. Shes having to move the same weekend I am. What are the odds right. But because she spoiled I’m supposed to help her first. ugh! We aren’t on good terms right now. She’s become a money pit for me. lol

        • Rai_Sya says:

          Nice dialogue…?
Even if CP did not beheaded him personally, still her father died because of his reckless decision. And I don’t know about Ga Eun, but Lee Sun did saw CP without his mask at the punishment ground at the same time the bodyguard under the Mask was on the beheading platform..

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

True. She’s probably going to have multiple flashbacks remembering what her father said (I don’t but ??‍♀️) about how it was necessary or whatever was in that letter plus other people have his words about what he saw as his duty and such and he died willingly. She’ll get over it and ChunSoo will cry like a baby but they’ll live happily ever after.?

          • Rai_Sya says:

I wonder about happily ever after, this afterall saeguk drama… ???
Maybe because each time I watch this type of drama, the ending is sad or just so so…

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

Well, *Rebel* had a happy ending and I can’t think of any other recents. I watch too many. For me, if all the bad people die that’s a happy ending?Chinese dramas for sure I already know is going to end sad.

    • Cinnamon Carter says:

SUN can’t help being dumb tho. Remember, all he talked about was his “low birth”. I don’t know how he could forget his hustle tho, he wanted to take the fake king job so HE COULD EAT! ?Not really working out the way he thought. ??‍♀️
I just want HwaGun to get swerved by ChunSoo for her dirty pyunsoo group activities. Hopefully he won’t believe whatever lies she comes up with.

      • ydnas says:

true but as fake king he had access to books and all sorts of resources…during that time you would think he would use that to his advantage and try to help the people. but once he saw Ga Eun all bets were off lol and she is the only thing he wants. when he doesn’t think clearly and rationally, people get killed. like how his family almost died.

        • Cinnamon Carter says:

hahahaha OH MY GOSH! I THE EXACT SAME THING A FEW EPISODES BACK! I thought that’s why we learned that about him early on, his being able to read and his desire to learn etc. Maybe at the end it’ll come into play.

          • ydnas says:

yeah, i hope he comes to his senses lol i mean he suffered a lot but it’s not like the others didn’t suffer. the real king suffers from guilt and he has a lot on his plate trying to save his people without risking lives.

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

Right?! It’s finally moving along though. Hopefully they keep up the pace.

          • Grin Ripper says:

I really hoped that will happen but I’m kind of disappointed on the trail of action that he’s manifesting getting more and more greedy over time and its crazy

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

I don’t know. I thought he’d be a total dirtbag and wanted him dead but I think he’ll get it together and be impressed by ChunSoo’s continued friendship and protection of his life and sacrifice himself in some (dumb) way and go against DaeMok and die in the process to help ChunSoo while saying, “Choena, take care of GaEun. Please don’t let anything happen to…” then die. He may throw in his as mother and sister too as people he wants him to look out for.
            CHOENA!! Please save
            Kkok Moo??

          • Grin Ripper says:

I’m hoping for that kind of scenario too where he will remain loyal to the king, except the part where he will die… I just desperately hope that he will get over Ga Eun sooner rather than later. I just want him to realize that he’s capable of doing more than he thinks he can if he will just use his head just like how Ga Eun believed that he is smart. Who knows? maybe he can become a future Master Woo Boo? and become a true friend and confidante to the king that he can rely on when the time comes… I seriously don’t want any of the 4 main characters to die… I mean death isn’t only the best way to learn your lesson and redeem yourself right?

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

I never thought of that. Him becoming an adviser or confidante to the king would be cool. In the stories somebody you like always dies and that’s why I picked him and ChunSoo’s bodyguard.

          • Grin Ripper says:

yeah, like you said there is big possibility that another man from the king’s side will have to die, maybe to atone for the sin they’ve done or as a sacrifice to save the king just like how Ga Eun’s father sacrificed his life. Maybe I just despise the idea of another death from this drama (unless it’s DM or the Queen Dowager haha!)

  2. paradox.of.fate says:

Guess this is going to get more frustrating before it turns the tide. Between Yi Sun and the Queen and all their greed it looks like I will be smdh this episode and the next. Jeez

  3. 문성희 says:

first of, this is going to be long so i’m sorry ^_^

i hate how commoner yi sun’s character’s being written he’s weak and pathetic and greedy and inferior and selfish..i’m so frustrated.. i understand where he came from, he thinks of himself as inferior because of his “low birth” and his dream was merely to be able to eat 3 square meals a day and read and study..simple..but he was given an opportunity of a lifetime (at the expense of the king and crown prince) to live differently, sure he’s a puppet and he’s been blackmailed by daemok but he could have used the opportunity of being “the king” to study and learn the ins and outs of the palace..it’s a compromise..suffer and endure it for a while but don’t give up and make it seem like that’s how you’re going to live the rest of your life, he could have gained people on his side and be able to fight pyunsoo but he was so hung up on the past and that inferiority complex getting the best of him.. he has influence being the king even though fake he still is the king and who’s gonna say otherwise (except for pyunsoo group)? he could use that influence which is apparently what we are seeing now..enter ga eun..he’s now using that influence to get ga eun which to me is funny and pathetic and shows how selfish his character is, he only thinks of himself..

having said all these, i am enjoying the drama & i like the pace, it doesn’t dwell too long on the secrets (except the major one) i just really pity this weak of a character and i do understand why yi sun’s being like that. i’m not trying to be a know-it-all or appear better than the writer i just wished we’ve seen at least growth in yi sun’s character and not make him seem more pathetic than what he already is.♥

    • Cinnamon Carter says:

That is his character though, a weak, low born, poor me, blah blah blah because that really was the mentality of some people. Not everybody hated it (not to the point of rebelling against it anyway I guess) and changing their circumstances. I thought he would do like you said as well but then again I watch A LOT of K Dramas and they usually follow *that* particular outline the way you stated. There’s always a mean girl who loves someone who doesn’t love her, a girl who is so “sweet and innocent” that the lead male loves with all his heart even though SHE rejects him due to a stupid misunderstanding. Then there are followers who would die for the male lead, a mean court lady and a cranky corrupt eunuch. I think everyone is in their place here. Every once in a while the weak character rises up and fights against his/her stereotype but not often which ANNOYS ME!! But I live in the 21st century and can’t imagine having the inferior mentality of a low born. That’s why I yell at the screen- OFTEN. ?

      • Grin Ripper says:

LOL… you sure watched too much saguek drama as you were familiarized with the usual hahaha… now lets talk about the character’s inconsistency hahahaha

        • Cinnamon Carter says:

????I know right?! I do watch a lot. That’s why I switch to the CDramas but they have a an outline too. I’m thinking if trying JDramas next.

          • Grin Ripper says:

I used to watch a lot of dramas too particularly korean but after some time I had to take a break when I got to college, I tried to watch chinese drama but I just can’t bring myself to appreciate it and stops after an episode or two, I just don’t think its my cup of tea…

          • Cinnamon Carter says:

I always liked the Cdramas because of the costumes. Everything is so elaborate.
I started watching them because I’d be up late at night (supposedly studying) and saw one as a distraction break and was hooked.

          • Grin Ripper says:

that’s the same reason I had why I was glued to Sageuk Dramas hahah, the costumes were so elegant and colorful while most plots were addictive…

      • 문성희 says:

I know right? I mean this is typical Saguek haha I’ve watched too many I was hoping this will be different but who knows, maybe Yi Sun’s character is the one who will turn tables in the end.

  4. pee says:

I’m looking forward to see how Ga Eun is going to help the Crown Prince grow as a ruler according to what the plot says. I wonder how Ga Eun will be framed for being the one who poisoned everyone or is it like the writer is trying so hard to make Ga Eun’s character grow a bit because she is always acting so careless.

    • Grin Ripper says:

Me too… I’m very much excited to see her “development” and how they claimed through the plot that she will help the chief in order to become a good ruler cause I think a lot of her character’s doubters were still waiting for her redemption from a gap from HG’s milestones and it’s really frustrating.

  5. LY says:

Did I hear Hwanhee’s voice for the song he sang at the recent episode? Yay!
