Yes they’d taken a picture before, and it was proof that she’d remembered him all this time they’ve been apart. Remember they thought she was remembering her dead husband when she saw Sihyun because she kept saying I thought you were dead? but it was in fact Sihyun she remembered. That’s why when they brought out the picture to show taehee she said what took you so long (to figure out that I really did know who he was).

Regarding the cologne, i don’t think there’s a parental issue here. It’s probably a red herring. As we know, TH mom and SH mom are first loves, and he’s used the same cologne since they were together so it cannot be from SH mom. In fact iirc in the scene where TH and SH talk about the cologne, shihyun didn’t actually say mom bought both of them the cologne, but rather his mother bought that cologne for shihyun because it was the same one his dad used.
On to TH dad. He said he received it from a GS who liked him, and people are jumping on to SH mom being this GS… but we have to keep in mind that the cologne was given before he met TH mom, and TH parents met when she was getting over SH dad… Which would probably mean he received the cologne while SH dad and TH mom were still together. And if the GS was SH mom, why would you gift someone else’s cologne to the person you liked?
TH mom also always talks about her daughter, she comfortably confides in him that they have problems with each other… if he was the dad, i find her demeanor as she talks to him rather too comfy for someone keeping such a secret (aka she is your daughter). If the writers do want a parental thing to happen, they better make it logical
How come they don’t explain in the drama that taehee runs a cat charity? Lol i mean that she feeds strays… or did i miss it? I know that some background info about the character mentioned this, but it’s kinda weird because it’s assumed that we just know this tidbit. SH didn’t even question why she had cat food when there’s no cat. Maybe some scenes are being cut out, like maybe they showed the cat food because originally there was a dialogue where taehee would share that story, but it got offed in the editing room. It was the same with the ending of ep 14, i kept thinking it seems like they cut off a part of the sooji-shihyun dialogue because the extreme reaction from shihyun seemed uncalled for. And then in 15 we’re shown that sooji talked about how SH dad and the woman seemed to have history like they were oldtime lovers, hence the reaction

I am a sucker for supportive partner and the way tae hee tries to be there for sihyun, she waits for him, she hugged him 1st, she doesn’t ask what happen but let him know that she is available and she is super corny yet get embarrassed by it.
The way he reacted to her, how he visited her, give her a time is also super cute, they fill each other gaps without misunderstanding, asked for the password changed, enjoying the day together. I think it’s the way they laughed to each other and tease, it’s not grand but it’s so cute.

re-reading the comments…i laughed cos everyone here is like doing a serious job of solving a physics question and putting out theories a and discuss with all the opinions around..this drama’s a whirlwind….
The grandma is vice chairman kwon’s mother. That is why Yeomin, Shihyun’s cousin calls him Chagun aboui, a Korean family term for the younger married brother of your FATHER. So vice chairman kwon is the brother of yeomin’s father who is the son of grandma too. When v.c. Kwon told grandma that shihyun was not interested in the company, grandma said this “all children are originally like that. You hyung/older brother was the same and so were you” implying that he was not originally interested in the family business that he now heads, JK Group. She also always refers to shihyun’s mom as “shihyun’s mom” and not “my daughter”. If SH mom was her daughter, then dad would have been thrown out when she died, as you can see grandma is aware he tried to get back with his first love and that somehow led to mom’s death. Grandma dislikes him because she blames him for his older brother’s death (brother, as the heir, was likely the favorite).
As to why Shihyun is his meal ticket, the grandma wants to leave the whole business to her two grandchildren (why not to dad? Because of the explanation above). she probably only used her influence to make dad vice chairman because in such a large conglomerate there are competing interests between shareholders (not all part of the Kwon family), and as such grandma needs a family member to be in a top management position to make sure that the inheritance for her grandkids (aka the company) is secure, basically dad is expected to work with the interests of Shihyun and Yeomin as priority. No shihyun = less need for him to be there.
Regarding the cologne, i don’t think there’s a parental issue here. It’s probably a red herring. As we know, TH mom and SH mom are first loves, and he’s used the same cologne since they were together so it cannot be from SH mom. In fact iirc in the scene where TH and SH talk about the cologne, shihyun didn’t actually say mom bought both of them the cologne, but rather his mother bought that cologne for shihyun because it was the same one his dad used.
On to TH dad. He said he received it from a GS who liked him, and people are jumping on to SH mom being this GS… but we have to keep in mind that the cologne was given before he met TH mom, and TH parents met when she was getting over SH dad… Which would probably mean he received the cologne while SH dad and TH mom were still together. And if the GS was SH mom, why would you gift someone else’s cologne to the person you liked?
TH mom also always talks about her daughter, she comfortably confides in him that they have problems with each other… if he was the dad, i find her demeanor as she talks to him rather too comfy for someone keeping such a secret (aka she is your daughter). If the writers do want a parental thing to happen, they better make it logical

How come they don’t explain in the drama that taehee runs a cat charity? Lol i mean that she feeds strays… or did i miss it? I know that some background info about the character mentioned this, but it’s kinda weird because it’s assumed that we just know this tidbit. SH didn’t even question why she had cat food when there’s no cat. Maybe some scenes are being cut out, like maybe they showed the cat food because originally there was a dialogue where taehee would share that story, but it got offed in the editing room. It was the same with the ending of ep 14, i kept thinking it seems like they cut off a part of the sooji-shihyun dialogue because the extreme reaction from shihyun seemed uncalled for. And then in 15 we’re shown that sooji talked about how SH dad and the woman seemed to have history like they were oldtime lovers, hence the reaction
Sorry for posting in a row. But i think the part of this ep that shocked me the most was that Kyungjoo’s dad was mentioned!!! So he’s in the picture, but mom wants/wanted to have a fling with SH? And kyungjoo didn’t even get angry at SH because of her mom betraying dad but just because it was embarrassing hahaha. Plus the wives being the ones talking about stocks instead of their probably company owner husbands… i guess they didn’t hire actors for the dads
Omona, that’s too much of a puzzle for us to solve. But keeping aside all the criss crossed parental connections, I feel so bad for Se Joo. Everybody except for Soo Ji seems to know about his feelings.
