Rin and San sacrifice their family relationship, this whole time when they were together, they put Won above them and now it’s the time to let go, so I think it’s good coming of age story. You can’t own people forever and at one point, they may need to go.
They never make it obvious, but she likes Rin. Everyone said it, Won, her handmaid, etc…, she didn’t deny it, and they were lovers at the end of this ep. In the posters, San always had her back turned to Won, she was never facing him, actually, sh was looking at Rin on the poster with the three of them.
But I agree that it should have came out of her mouth, cause it looks like she likes one sometimes the other xD it’s confusing. But as Won said, he saw that they were both “lying”, which means they were in a relationship and in love with each other by the time, but didn’t tell him.
San feelings toward to Prince is just only “Like” as a friend ..Then toward for Lin or Rin is “Love”.. and its very clear San told Won. Thats why Won let them leave the palace for the sake of friendship and love.
Awww the ending is satisfying but not at the same time . I kinda feel let down cuz I thought it’ll b the crown prince and San together .
Anyways I enjoyed it from beginning to end ?
I really like how the end is very unusual. I mean, the girl gets the 2nd lead, ok, but this is not about that. This is the story about the main character watching his friends falling in love, accepting their happiness, and how this totally focus on their 3 friendship. I’m quite sad we didn’t have more with Dan and the bodyguard, they were totally cute, and San’s handmaid with the assassin were cool too. Oh well… But I really liked this drama, seriously.
i don’t like endings like this where you can’t tie it up nicely and see that everyone’s okay at the end so i won’t watch this again. the only time i feel that’s OK is if you see them going off on a journey/trip and it ends like that or if they’re going to be a season 2 but this was all wrong.

The King Loves is a story of enduring friendship among three friends. San could have been his second queen but he gave up his love to Wang Lin because he knew they were the couple. In return, Wang Lin made it possible to shake off impending war with Yuan and so that ultimately Won would be King. Won never really wanted the Crown on his head but he did want to set things right for the country. His abdication was no surprise. Like all monarchs he wore a heavy crown while he served as King and he must have been very lonely at the top. It’s a happy-sad ending but it proved that these three had a lasting and true friendship.
Im not crying…??? I cant… Im soo heartbroken I can feel the Crown Prince feelings and is sooo hurtful. He let go his ONLY best friend go with his first love ? but thats not all even thoe he had his princess he was ALONE, his mother was not there for him nor his father..well not sure of his father but I mean my point here is that the crown prince had a sad ending..
This was such a waste… Watched the last 5min of the last episode. Im super glad i dropped it somewhere in the middle of episode 5. I think i found the cure for 2nd lead syndrome eish!!

I enjoyed every moment if this drama.for me it was the best historical drama of 2017..Its satisying ending so I am happy
