This part actually does have a bit of impact, although the webtoon gets the couple through it quite quickly (unlike if it was originally a drama script, they would have made that arc bigger). [SPOILER] tbh it’s quite hard to remember which events happened first in the webtoon because a lot of meetings and talks happen in quick succession haha. But they changed how she started thinking big bro was the boy. What made me think they skipped this was because in the webtoon she believes it’s the brother first and then only later on starts thinking it’s YJ. The mom helped her put the pieces together due to a slight slip of the tongue. When mom finds out she was kidnapped with her son she mentions Miso being with her Hyun, and then Miso does a bit of sleuthing (or just good old critical thinking) and also remembers a crucial information about YJ. I think the main thing is that she herself was unconvinced that it was the big brother after they spent some time together. [/SPOILER]
It is strange that they did it this way because she did remember his angle and fear and the conversation about his brutal brother and she saw him searching for a woman with the same name so it kind of makes no sense to see her go for the bro next week but hopefully its over soon
Yeah, thank goodness Miso is very smart so she’ll be able to put all of that knowledge together quickly. All the things you mentioned will probably be incorporated into the story to show how she doubts the brother

I think something is missing because Mr. Lee has insomnia due to bad nightmares, I think he was the one who was kidnapped not the brother. I think he wrote it in his blog because he wants to sympathize with him. I am assuming that he was supposed to be but somehow his brother got taken in his place. See all the lies he’s telling her about Mr.Lee, that’s just shows how shallow he is. This is just my assumptions.
The big brother told the story from the opposite role, he got the CEO to be kidnapped and bullied him after skipping 2 grades. IMO.
He used this lie to get famous as a writer and he know his brother won’t tell on him since he wants to forget all about it.

And the last part, oh no. Goodness gracious. Just how? I know it wasn’t the brother. The piece wasn’t put together in the episode but I hope the writer will definetely make it clear how it was Young Joon and not his brother though Mi So’s memory says otherwise.

I’ve read somewhere in a Youtube comment that Young Joon was really the one who was kidnapped. His brother was a bully back then. Seung Joon asked YJ to wait for him while he buys something, but he never came back and that’s the time YJ was kidnapped. Because of what happened to YJ, SJ had a mental breakdown or something and it messed up with his memory. SJ felt guilty and his coping mechanism kicks in that’s why he remembers that he was the one kidnapped because of YJ.
In Korean, his dad is actually referred to as the chairman and he is the vice chairman, not president or vp. So it’s a translation thing. There are companies where the chairman is usually chairman even when he’s retired or not participating, he holds that position until he dies.
It would be kinda funny if her childhood connection was with the brother, it would be a complete reversal of the usual kdrama trope. But at the same time, childhood connections are cute lol.

It’s alright. I had an exam today and I was watching this instead of studying. What’s worse is I actually started studying for this paper two days before I had to give it 🙈
So all three of them have the same traumatic memories and one of the brothers was with her. I think his elder brother is lying about something. At the end he badbouthed his brother without explaining what happened. There are two theories: first one is that all three of themwere kidnapped or the second one is that the elder brother and mi so were kidnapped and lee young saved them. Because in a previous episode when he was texting with mi so he told her that she and his brother owe him and they should be thamkful to him. So maybe he saved them or he exchanged himself for them. He told the woman to let the two of them go and take him instead. And maybe he hates his older brother because he didn’t come back to save him or send any help because he was jealous of him and wanted to get rid of him. But it still doesn’t add up at to why the elder brother hates him and wants to ”forgive” him. I don’t though that young joon is lying. He is telling the truth and his brother is lying. He seemed hurt at the end when she didn’t rememmberwhat really happened. And I don’t think his older brother is capable of being friends with a five year old girl when he was bullying his own brother
me too . i think the brother is lying. because of one thing he said , it´s not logical for me. he said his younger brother took him to that area and said to wait for him, while he is going to buy drinks. is it not actually typical , that the elder siblings tell u to wait to get somthing. and how does a 9 years old know such a place. his story is too implausible for my taste.
I think she was with Mr Lee and not with Morpheus , not just because he’s arguments didn’t make sense , but also because of what Mr Lee said in the finale of the episode “because you’re Mi So , you’re Kim Mi So”
What I think is, the elder brother for punishment/ bullying Mr Lee , they went to that house and left him there or Mr Lee and Mi So we’re playing together right after that scene she can’t remember his name , and right after that they were probably in some sort attracted to that place. If not, don’t know how that could happen. Wich I still fontdhave an explanation for that woman.
That woman was well dressed so she has to be in some sort , be connected to the three of them… NoN I’m dying for the next episode!

It’s also possible that the older brother wasn’t lying. That they just have different memories about what happened. How you feel about a situation will affect your memory of it

maybe her sisters don’t know about it because she didn’t tell them. If she was kidnapped only for a day and she went home before everyone started searching for her then noone noticed what happened. Mi so was a kid. She possibly didn’t realized what have happened, especially if the woman didn’t hurt her
I think both were in the house and unaware of each others presence. Both felt abandoned and betrayed. I’m more curious on who the woman is and why she took them? That’s whats pissing me off. lol
I think they both got kidnapped …thats why the working hard cow and the cow caramel.candy……I dont know why Kim Mi Su didnt connected the dots …but I think Somehow He saved his Brother from being kidnapped…like I think he let his brother go in exchange for him.,…something like that…thats why the elder brother do not have any recollection or memory of Kim MinSu as a kind who got locked up
Character analysis time!! I adore the two lead characters. Park Seo Joon’s Character, while he is a narcissist, he has the softest nougety interior. His facial expressions never fail to make me laugh. The beginning of this episodes has so many moments where he acts cocky and lies to himself but then seconds later he goes back to worried and forlorn. It’s hilarious how much false bravado he is capable of. Now Kim Mi So is also wonderful. She’s just so capable! There are too many female leads where I think “how do you function as a human?,” but KMS is incredible. She’s an amazing secretary and has a way with words, she’s incredibly good with people too. I adore having such a wonderful female lead, I can actually look up to her and think “I wish I was as professional as her.” She’s so funny too, her anger in the beginning was so funny but like any normal human she simmered down and thought about the situation from his viewpoint and tried to be rational about the problem. But despite the rational, she was still miffed so she decided to pretend it never happened (which is hilarious yet realistic). These aren’t 2D characters, they have a bit of realism to them which makes it enjoyable as it avoids unnecessary drama.

It’s so good they made a different female lead, all the dramas I’ve warched the female lead would be irational, incompetent for the job and so on , but here… You said everything and I look up to her too!

i didnt read the webtoon but i think something happen to both brothers and lee tae hwan as a older brother didnt protect park seo joon. i think both were kidnapped but the boy in the house is park seo joon.i have a feeling lee tae hwan is going to use this to get closer to her and not let her know everything that really happened.
y’all i think his brother is lying big time. idk why he said it was true that the brother was kidnapped when clearly was him hhhh the scar on his ankle, the memories of the woman inside the ugly old house, at the end he said he hired her because it was her, so he remembered and wanted to keep her beside him, so it really was him. but maybe he deny it to her cuz it can still be very traumatic and he don’t want the story to spread around and cuz he want her to like him for him now and not beacuse he’s the boy she was looking for this whole time… i dont know help lol i just hope she find out abt the true story soon
nah the guy that investigated said that it was only one son who was kidnapped and the family buried the story from the media, plus when Mi so asked abt the details the brother didn’t remembered any girl, and she says that it was only one boy with her there. i’m pretty sure he wasn’t in the house with them. if u pay attention on everything he said, his version is kinda off
according to the webtoon the morpheus older brother actually felt guilt from leaving his brother alone so he created a false memory based on what his dad told him. basically, a psychological problem caused by guilt. So it’s our parkseojoon who was kidnapped and that’s why he hired mis so.
Exactly what I think too. The reason the younger brother didn’t come back for the older brother was because he was already taken to the house. Both brothers suffered trauma, and now they are both having difficulties remembering.
That’s what i think too. Or, (and I’m hoping not) our lead was right about the bullying and the older brother was somehow the cause of the kidnapping and somehow convinced himself that he’s the one who got taken.
Something about the older brother asking our lead to apologise and our lead refusing to do so while saying its the older brother who should apologise, has me wondering.

Young Joon is definitely not lying. When he was telling her the story of how he was bullied and all the pain was way more evident than when his brother told the same story with him as the victim.
It is possible that all three of them were kidnapped, the events might have been the same or different. I’m not very sure though, I’m just putting this possibility out there cause iveI noticed that Young Joon and his brother’s nightmares are different.
While Morpheus could be lying, I don’t really think he is intensionally doing it. Maybe when Young Joon was kidnapped, he started to feel guilty about bullying his brother and as a defence mechanism, he convinced himself that he was the victim all along.
I feel like Young Joon is actually trying to be the better person here because he knows (maybe not so sure) or understands what’s happened with his brother but still can’t help but hate him. If at all his brother is lying, and it definitely feels like he is, Young Joon is going along with it. He even told her that it was his brother and not him. But I still don’t think the piecws are put together, so yeah, he might just be trying to be the better person here. I’ve even noticed that even though Young Joon really hates his brother, his brother is colder towards him. Proof of this could be in the fact that he punched Young Joon that day. And obviously I think that Young Joon remembers because he remembers Mi So
Your thoughts are my thoughts. Plus in his older brother’s memory there doesn’t seem to be a kidnapper but rather just bits of the setting while Young Joon remebers a woman’s face and voice. I think when Young Joon was rescued he described the place and his brother may have overheard and took it as his own memory because of the reason you mentioned OR (another theory) The older brother was the one that used to play with Miso and then when he left Miso’s house, he met Youngjoon, just like in the story the older brother was telling Miso, Youngjoon went somewhere telling him he’d come back and while the older brother was left alone ,for whatever reason, Miso found him and that’s when she got kidnapped with him. However, I think Youngjoon actually did come back for his brother and actually help him escape but in the end Youngjoon ended up being taken in his place and it was him that was with Miso and gave her the candy.

One thing is sure about the kidnapping:
the boy who was locked with her in one room, the one who tried to calm her down, who gave caramels to her was the guy who also hurt his legs badly while trying to move while he was tightly tied with this plastic cable tie or something similar. The older brother was NOT there with them that night. Just two kids and the crazy lady.
The older brother doesn’t seem to have any trauma connected to that kidnapper lady (he has never displayed any signs of it so far) while the vice president clearly does.
And the older brother has no scars on his ankles! If they follow the webtoon, Mi So should have an opportunity to see his bare ankles soon :)

I hope she does something with these caramels she purchased, she looked at them towards the end of the episode after she got the idea that the older brother is her childhood friend… Maybe she’s going to use them, to check which one of the brothers would react to them? Or maybe she will drop the purse, the caramels will fall out of it and the vice president then comments on them?
It’s a drama after all, she wouldn’t have bought these caramels if they weren’t necessary as a plot device! :)

Someone is fibbing! I suspect the eldest- he has set his mast for Mi Soo and he is presuming that the only way he can snatch her from his younger brother is to play the sympathy versus the guilt card simultaneously.

It’s alright. I had an exam today and I was watching this instead of studying. What’s worse is I actually started studying for this paper two days before I had to give it 🙈
The first scene of this episode is simultaneously the most hilarious and scariest scene in a kdrama ever.
So all three of them have the same traumatic memories and one of the brothers was with her. I think his elder brother is lying about something. At the end he badbouthed his brother without explaining what happened. There are two theories: first one is that all three of themwere kidnapped or the second one is that the elder brother and mi so were kidnapped and lee young saved them. Because in a previous episode when he was texting with mi so he told her that she and his brother owe him and they should be thamkful to him. So maybe he saved them or he exchanged himself for them. He told the woman to let the two of them go and take him instead. And maybe he hates his older brother because he didn’t come back to save him or send any help because he was jealous of him and wanted to get rid of him. But it still doesn’t add up at to why the elder brother hates him and wants to ”forgive” him. I don’t though that young joon is lying. He is telling the truth and his brother is lying. He seemed hurt at the end when she didn’t rememmberwhat really happened. And I don’t think his older brother is capable of being friends with a five year old girl when he was bullying his own brother
me too . i think the brother is lying. because of one thing he said , it´s not logical for me. he said his younger brother took him to that area and said to wait for him, while he is going to buy drinks. is it not actually typical , that the elder siblings tell u to wait to get somthing. and how does a 9 years old know such a place. his story is too implausible for my taste.
i think the story could be true but from his perspective. he was a bully so can’t really rule out a possibility that he left the younger one there.

I think she was with Mr Lee and not with Morpheus , not just because he’s arguments didn’t make sense , but also because of what Mr Lee said in the finale of the episode “because you’re Mi So , you’re Kim Mi So”
What I think is, the elder brother for punishment/ bullying Mr Lee , they went to that house and left him there or Mr Lee and Mi So we’re playing together right after that scene she can’t remember his name , and right after that they were probably in some sort attracted to that place. If not, don’t know how that could happen. Wich I still fontdhave an explanation for that woman.
That woman was well dressed so she has to be in some sort , be connected to the three of them… NoN I’m dying for the next episode!
Because you’re Mi So could also mean because she was charming and engaging.
It’s also possible that the older brother wasn’t lying. That they just have different memories about what happened. How you feel about a situation will affect your memory of it

I think they both got kidnapped …thats why the working hard cow and the cow caramel.candy……I dont know why Kim Mi Su didnt connected the dots …but I think Somehow He saved his Brother from being kidnapped…like I think he let his brother go in exchange for him.,…something like that…thats why the elder brother do not have any recollection or memory of Kim MinSu as a kind who got locked up

Character analysis time!! I adore the two lead characters. Park Seo Joon’s Character, while he is a narcissist, he has the softest nougety interior. His facial expressions never fail to make me laugh. The beginning of this episodes has so many moments where he acts cocky and lies to himself but then seconds later he goes back to worried and forlorn. It’s hilarious how much false bravado he is capable of. Now Kim Mi So is also wonderful. She’s just so capable! There are too many female leads where I think “how do you function as a human?,” but KMS is incredible. She’s an amazing secretary and has a way with words, she’s incredibly good with people too. I adore having such a wonderful female lead, I can actually look up to her and think “I wish I was as professional as her.” She’s so funny too, her anger in the beginning was so funny but like any normal human she simmered down and thought about the situation from his viewpoint and tried to be rational about the problem. But despite the rational, she was still miffed so she decided to pretend it never happened (which is hilarious yet realistic). These aren’t 2D characters, they have a bit of realism to them which makes it enjoyable as it avoids unnecessary drama.

i didnt read the webtoon but i think something happen to both brothers and lee tae hwan as a older brother didnt protect park seo joon. i think both were kidnapped but the boy in the house is park seo joon.i have a feeling lee tae hwan is going to use this to get closer to her and not let her know everything that really happened.
y’all i think his brother is lying big time. idk why he said it was true that the brother was kidnapped when clearly was him hhhh the scar on his ankle, the memories of the woman inside the ugly old house, at the end he said he hired her because it was her, so he remembered and wanted to keep her beside him, so it really was him. but maybe he deny it to her cuz it can still be very traumatic and he don’t want the story to spread around and cuz he want her to like him for him now and not beacuse he’s the boy she was looking for this whole time… i dont know help lol i just hope she find out abt the true story soon

according to the webtoon the morpheus older brother actually felt guilt from leaving his brother alone so he created a false memory based on what his dad told him. basically, a psychological problem caused by guilt. So it’s our parkseojoon who was kidnapped and that’s why he hired mis so.
Exactly what I think too. The reason the younger brother didn’t come back for the older brother was because he was already taken to the house. Both brothers suffered trauma, and now they are both having difficulties remembering.
That’s what i think too. Or, (and I’m hoping not) our lead was right about the bullying and the older brother was somehow the cause of the kidnapping and somehow convinced himself that he’s the one who got taken.

Young Joon is definitely not lying. When he was telling her the story of how he was bullied and all the pain was way more evident than when his brother told the same story with him as the victim.
It is possible that all three of them were kidnapped, the events might have been the same or different. I’m not very sure though, I’m just putting this possibility out there cause iveI noticed that Young Joon and his brother’s nightmares are different.
While Morpheus could be lying, I don’t really think he is intensionally doing it. Maybe when Young Joon was kidnapped, he started to feel guilty about bullying his brother and as a defence mechanism, he convinced himself that he was the victim all along.
I feel like Young Joon is actually trying to be the better person here because he knows (maybe not so sure) or understands what’s happened with his brother but still can’t help but hate him. If at all his brother is lying, and it definitely feels like he is, Young Joon is going along with it. He even told her that it was his brother and not him. But I still don’t think the piecws are put together, so yeah, he might just be trying to be the better person here. I’ve even noticed that even though Young Joon really hates his brother, his brother is colder towards him. Proof of this could be in the fact that he punched Young Joon that day. And obviously I think that Young Joon remembers because he remembers Mi So
Your thoughts are my thoughts. Plus in his older brother’s memory there doesn’t seem to be a kidnapper but rather just bits of the setting while Young Joon remebers a woman’s face and voice. I think when Young Joon was rescued he described the place and his brother may have overheard and took it as his own memory because of the reason you mentioned OR (another theory) The older brother was the one that used to play with Miso and then when he left Miso’s house, he met Youngjoon, just like in the story the older brother was telling Miso, Youngjoon went somewhere telling him he’d come back and while the older brother was left alone ,for whatever reason, Miso found him and that’s when she got kidnapped with him. However, I think Youngjoon actually did come back for his brother and actually help him escape but in the end Youngjoon ended up being taken in his place and it was him that was with Miso and gave her the candy.
I know everyone discusses mostly the two different points of views when it comes to the kidnapping case…

One thing is sure about the kidnapping:
the boy who was locked with her in one room, the one who tried to calm her down, who gave caramels to her was the guy who also hurt his legs badly while trying to move while he was tightly tied with this plastic cable tie or something similar. The older brother was NOT there with them that night. Just two kids and the crazy lady.
The older brother doesn’t seem to have any trauma connected to that kidnapper lady (he has never displayed any signs of it so far) while the vice president clearly does.
And the older brother has no scars on his ankles! If they follow the webtoon, Mi So should have an opportunity to see his bare ankles soon :)

I hope she does something with these caramels she purchased, she looked at them towards the end of the episode after she got the idea that the older brother is her childhood friend… Maybe she’s going to use them, to check which one of the brothers would react to them? Or maybe she will drop the purse, the caramels will fall out of it and the vice president then comments on them?
It’s a drama after all, she wouldn’t have bought these caramels if they weren’t necessary as a plot device! :)
