Medical dramas are coming fast in the heels of each other: Doctor Crush, Romantic Doctor, Deserving of the Name (Kim Nam Gil) and this, Hospital Ship. Of course, Ha Ji Won is the key actress expected to draw the viewers. Her co-actors are all very young relative to her age, specifically Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Seo Won. For a drama series, the idea of a traveling ship hospital makes for very many situations and opportunities for plot and subplot development so story wise we should be set. After watching the first two episodes, I am still sitting on the fence on whether to commit to watching this drama or not. Perhaps, the casting may not have been perfect. As far as native acting ability, Lee Weo Won may have more natural moves than Kang Min Hyuk. I wonder if he is ready to be head-on-head with Ha Ji Won in a romantic scene. He appears self conscious and doing mental notes as he performs. Maybe, opening episode jitters. Let’s see.
Why they killed the mother…wae! wae! I’ll just have to wait till tomorrow to see if this drama will keep me, no matter if Ha Ji Won and Kang Minhyuk is here. I love medical dramas so let us see if it will live up to my expectations.
This reminded me too much of my life. So hard for me to watch since I feel like i did the same to my mom. She never felt that way, but obviously, I still have hard feelings. Her mom was beautiful and such a warm smile..
