This drama is bearable. It is about all sorts of abuse and misdeeds: verbal, emotional assault, rip-offs, set-ups etc. I humor myself by catching the misdeed and putting a label on it. But another drama airing now called The Secret of My Love is difficult to watch. It is melodrama for melodrama’s sake. The misfortunes happen every other 15 minutes. After one hour I feel that just by watching, the misfortune has rubbed off. This is where my mother use to caution me about dramas bringing about bad luck. Constant listening to bad stuff can be internalized and insidious to our mental health.
If I were to choose two 50-episode dramas that I can watch over and over again, it would be Five Children and Father Is Strange. After watching 50-plus episodes, you are left with a good feeling and a smile on your face. While their subplots support the big story, each sub story are good stand alone segments.
