It surprised me how good it was. Its like the story is not too action-y, but the characters are so complex, well written and interpreted that you go with the flow on the drama. It’s like youre sitting back and enjoying the ride. Waiting for subs because i feel the need to understand every single subtle moment.

Poor girls exsistence is solely surviving. Ji An’s character is so inspiring to me!!!! Even with such heaviness of adversity her Integrity never wavers!!!
Writers should seriously take note, it should not always be about the too-obvious-not-so-realistic-characters and stick to more characters like these. We need this.
Remember that scene where she kept playing what DH said over and over again. Whatever it is, it’s recording everything he says and his location. Also, he doesn’t have to be on the phone for it to be in use.
it has comedy in its place, bromance af, family emotions as hell, romance, reality, the good intentions in strangers, no fake triangle crushes, you cry, you laugh, you realise shit, great acting skills, the female lead is killing it, seen her acting before, but not as good as this, damn! and so is the male lead, he acts greatly, nothing feels pushed or cringy, never thought i’d have a crush on a mid-aged actor tbh, but guess effing what?
I wish I could upvote this comment at least 5 more times! I agree with you on every front. This drama isn’t great just because it strays from the typical Kdrama format. It’s great because it does so with purpose. It’s a great story with well written and perfectly portrayed characters. I’ve been watching kdramas for a while now and this drama is in my top 2 best. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode.
Quite stereotypically I really fell for Goblin. I still listen to the OST all the time. I think the story was exactly what I was looking for in a drama at that moment. I was interested in supernatural type shows. The story for Goblin is also pretty good and I loved the chemistry between Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun. But I loved the chemistry between Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na even more! What about you? Do you have a top 5?
both gong yoo and kim go eun are my very fav actors. although im not very good with lists, my top five are;

-my mister (lol) (i like how real everything is, the bromance, the family vibe, zero cringe, amazing acting)
– laughter with Waikiki (original af, but the last four episodes werent that funny, but i understand, they had to make it longer)
– jealously incarnate (loved the bromance, the plot that I couldn’t guess, great actors)
– Chicago typewriter (liked the originality of the story, but it has some cringe)

I started watching it but I think the pacing was a bit slow for me and I couldn’t stand waiting every week for a show with that kind of pacing. But I remember really liking Lee Jun ho’s character. Now’s that it’s over maybe I’ll give it another shot. I see why you brought it up though. It has some similarities with this drama.

I love that the story actually goes somewhere. All the actors and actresses are amazing. I watched this just to kill time while I waited for other dramas…but now it’s the other way around. I would’ve fallen for that ahjussi too if I were her.
I feel terrible for her grandmother, I hope now that she knows about the assisted help facility that her life will be a little less burdensome.
I have a sneaking suspicion that as she gets closer to Donghoon, she will start to protect him more and more but he will probably become aware of it and she’ll have to come clean. Question is will he forgive her.
Another thing is that loan shark, he is one seriously fucked up creature, she kills his father and he becomes the “new loan shark” in her life. He replaces his father, but not only that but he has an abusive nature that makes him go out of his way to punch the shit out of her and now stalk her. I seriously think in his psychotic way he is in love with her. Crazy shit man ……
If the second lead would stop beating her up, i would actually like him. Is he even considered a second lead? Like you can see he likes her omgggggg and hes so hot

Lots of great dramas this year. Mother, go back couple, prison playbook, miracle we met, just between lovers and now my mister . This one’s like sailing ahead of all the dramas in my list. Love the story the leads the ost the background setup and everything. Man! I cried at the end laugh.
