This drama had potential, too bad the casting is a mess.

    • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

??? who do you feel is/was miscast?

      • niagirl says:

HJE. I think she’s too old to be bouncing around like she does. The age difference between she and CTJ is obvious. I don’t believe for one minute the two of them were childhood friends. NGM is so stiff like he’s in pain is movements are animated. I love these actors just not in this drama together.

        • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Yes, the age difference shows sometimes but she’s not too old to be animated…she’s a gregarious person…

People will put you in a box because of their hangups…she doesn’t allow it…

IDK how hold you are but I’m guessing you’re under 30 probably 20 to 25 would be my guess…you’ll understand when you’ve had a few years added to your life perspective…the best example I can recommend you reference is Lucille Ball…She was animated until her death in her 80’s…her tv shows I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show and the Lucy and Desi Hour are classics that are as fresh today as they were when they were shot 50 years ago…try catching some epis if you aren’t familar with her work…you’ll love them!

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

NGM is a man of a different caliber and breed…his movements aren’t animated..they’re calculated…it’s part of whom he is and what distinguishes him from your average oppa…

He’s in a class outstanding from the average vanilla understanding of life…one that can’t be explained on a G-rated forum…lol In all honesty, I suspect that HJE may also be part of that non vanilla lifestyle, which is what you may view as ‘too old’ but is actually experiences of life…

          • niagirl says:

I have watched HJE and LB drama’s. Lucille Ball did do screwball antics but she was married to a man her age , her peers were her age. The character is suppose to be the same age as CTJ. I like all three actors just not in this role. I think the two leads are miscast. I have been a fan of NGM since Dirty Carnival and HJE since EOE.

          • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

Actually dear heart..the cast of I Love Lucy were not peers (agewise) either….

Lucy was 6 years older than Desi…her husband IRL and on the show…the same age difference exists between the two actors you referred to…both sets..with the exception of one year.

Vivian Vance and William Frawley (Ethel & Fred) shared a 22 year age difference….

Fred was 64, Vivian was 42 when the show started and Desi was 34, Lucy was 40…

This drama’s characters aren’t miscast but maybe the underlying perception you have is blinding you because of a prejudice you aren’t aware you possess?

  2. Oh Hae Young 's Fan says:

I liked the dynamics from this when the were doing the undateables….now it became stupid competition….don’t like this.

    • paradox.of.fate says:

Agree. It’s gotten ridiculous! smdh! But it seems most of the current have headed the same way. Wish the writers would try to come up with some new dynamics instead of falling into the same typical scenarios. Come on, where’s the imagination?

      • Ronald Harrington says:

But, alas, when they try to use thier imagination, you get “Sketch” sooooo, I’ll take this mess any day….

        • paradox.of.fate says:

Lol now, now…We had Mother, Prison Playbook, Descendants of the sun, Signal, Tunnel and a few more that I can’t think of cause of my CRS. You know these sure aren’t the cream of the crop, maybe skim? Lmao

      • Oh Hae Young 's Fan says:

Yes i agree, I don’t like these hello we meet again and we all know each other….and happen to love each other????
Descendants of the sun o Goblin or event it’s ok that love they figure out obstacles that are different from these stupid situations…where the measure each other and see who has it bigger….sorry my language

        • paradox.of.fate says:

Sure don’t have to worry about tht with me. Cuss like a sailor, came from my Mom who told it like it was. lol
Maybe I’ll start writing down the writers instead of enduring some of these dramas that aren’t worth my time? ;)

  3. paradox.of.fate says:

No class!! Seriously tacky and why did she have to come off so petty? This is another extreme low point for a female lead. It just gets so redundant and stereotypical it’s aggravating.
Can’t believe another drama had to hit such lows to try and make the ending all that more special…NOT!!

    • JadedForeignDramasAngel says:

This is true!!! So tacky and uncouth! Ughhh…one should always…air your dirty laundry at home. Don’t put it on display for the world to see.

If there’s dissension among/within the cast/set and they’re trying to cover it up with convoluted changes in the dynamics they need to stop it. This is exactly what happened with Marry me now….they floundered for several episodes and ruined the flow of the drama…

  4. tasnim says:

It didnt have to be a bet 🙁

  5. Ronald Harrington says:

By the way, I didn’t see “Rich man, Whale dance” here today, it’s on V I K I fully subbed….wierd

  6. Brad Robenolt says:

    silly

  7. PHS_ wifey says:

Is something wrong with asking questions? Many of these Korean dramas don’t seem to be following a normal persons train of thought. I am convinced these writers don’t live in the real world. It seems like the characters are not lining up to the responses… Sigh, I have become confused.

  8. sima says:

The kdrama cliche of break ups, never explaining anything or telling the truth.
